My goodness, just turn the option off. Problem solved.

You are blaming the game for, you, choosing the option to only be in the plays directed to you?

You guys are still missing the point. I obviously know you can turn the option off. But when you do, you have to play the entire game basically. And when you want to get through games faster to get through multiple seasons faster, it would be nice to have that randomness in quicker games.

        Then turn it off...

The entire point of that option is to only play balls hit to you.

I see. You want a new option that is a hybrid between playing every play on defense and only playing the ones you are involved in. I don't know where something like that would fall on a priority list...

Yea I am aware of that.

When they did the little things stream, The pause menue didn't show Pitch Speeds, it just Had innings pitched, Hits, ER , etc.

And also the hitter had the same Today 2 for 2

So I posted in a few threads about it because it was mid season and not being able to see hitters season stats in game or Pitchers speed in game was alarming because it was always there

Yea, sorry I just wasn't explaining myself I think. I understand though, no worries. I do like alot of the new features in RTTS like the auto assigning your attribute points. That's great.

So you want a hybrid option then?

The result play option that was in the game before was perfect.

Not sure why it was taken it out. You could have watched the last pitch of every at bat, so you wouldn't know when the ball was coming your way.

I used to use during key playoff games, and then they removed the option and only left the every pitch option and I highly doubt anyone would use that option.

If you are playing in the OF......and playing with only plays you are involved in....you will still see bombs hit. For example I play RF on my current RTTS in 17....I have had many HR's hit over my direction. So you don't know what kind of hit will be coming at you. I have seen laser beam ground balls and line drives coming at me only to see my 2B snag them.

It is not scripted like you think. It is the best "My player" mode in sports gaming bar none.

I don't like having to start off as a late round pick. It should be variable, or you should have the option to start off as an MLB ready prospect. Especially players who go to college, when they come out, they're much more polished and almost MLB ready right away. Guys like Carlos Rodon and Kyle Schwarber in recent years.

And now with getting rid of training points, it means you have to grind in the minors regardless, in order to get your attributes up. I don't think some people are going to like that.

Part of me gets why they put attribute caps and archetypes and things of that nature in these games, but am I the only one that wants to create a player that is just ridiculous? That just breaks all records? That isn't Trout or Kershaw, like Ramone mentions at the beginning of the video, but is even better than a generational talent?

I play RTTS and modes like it to see what it would be like if someone we haven't even conceived as possible came along and just shook up the league.

Why can't I create a 6'5" guy with Billy Hamilton's speed and Stanton's power? What if I want to hit .350 every season with 60 home runs? Why can't I create that player and play a career with him?

You can do this. Create a player with all 99's and import him onto your favorite team in franchise mode and player lock him.

yes...you don't get the presentation journey like you would on RTTS mode. But you could put him into AA ball.....and just go from there.

I think the overwhelming amount of community feedback was taken into account about making you "earn it". You can still become that generational talent. You don't have to be all 99's to be an elite legendary HOF player. You can do that simply from being the best hitter in baseball. Weather that is power or for average.....choose your archetype. I like a sense of making it more real....like you know...IRL.

The Show is trying to emulate what we see in the real MLB. This is another step towards making the Road To The Show more aligned with reality.

Just my opinion of course. There are going to be some that simply want to be able to max out all attributes. Can't make everyone happy.

I am happy about this big change. It makes me want to create several players this upcoming season. I could never say that before with RTTS. 17 was the first cycle I truly got into it deep. So pumped for 18 now.

Scout day always determined where you were drafted in previous years, and that's still in the game. Did that change? I might have missed it because I only got watch the video once before heading out for a while.

I get that. But I could make the same argument to you. If you want realism, give yourself some self-imposed parameters. Don't want your first baseman to be super fast? Don't upgrade the attribute past 60.

What I don't agree with, is the ability to not even have the option to create a guy with ridiculous abilities/attributes.
