Re: MLB The Show 18 Road to the Show Gameplay Videos and Walkthroughs
Whatever happened to letting people enjoy their game the way they want to enjoy it. If they have fun with a maxed out player who are we to tell them there is no fun in it?Comment

I like the looks of it, the resolution pops out and looks nice. Is this on the PS4 Pro?
I really don't care for the new stuff they showed with the attributes but it's fine with me. What I am worry about is that it looks like they still haven't added more stats information during play, no around the league score ticker info like their franchise mode as well as info of behind the scenes transactions of trades, call-ups etc of the minors/major leagues. I think we have been requesting this for years but total silence!Comment

Re: MLB The Show 18 Road to the Show Gameplay Videos and Walkthroughs
Not a good sign when the very first thing in the video is the home run trot glitch where the guy stops after rounding first. Just really suffocates any excitement for the game for me personally. Nobody is going to treat a ball hit like that like a hard single right at an outfielder. Yes it's small and it shouldn't bother me that much, but it does and it's that kind of stuff that kills the game for me and frustrates me more than anything.
Hope everyone enjoys the game this year though! I just won't be buying."Baseball is the coolest sport because, at any moment, the catcher can stop the game and go tell the pitcher a secret" - Rob FeeComment

Re: PlayStation Underground RTTS video
There are 100% certain microtransactions. You have to buy gear if you want to eclipse the cap. Stop spreading this lie of no microtransactions. It simply isn't true.Comment

Someone will need to explain to me why playing a game in Hardcore mode is fun.
Someone will have to explain to me why people think this is good music
Someone will have to explain to me why people watch this TV show
And i am sure people could spend all day asking me similar questions about things I enjoy. People are different. They enjoy different things.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 18 Road to the Show Gameplay Videos and Walkthroughs
As an exclusive player of RTTS I was disappointed at some the changes I saw at first but now a few days later having digesting all the videos and information I have come to the conclusion that I really embrace these new changes. Just a few points for myself I still can make my player the way I want with a few tweeks like I always do even with the new cap system. A plus again is selling my good players cards for stubs to purchase equipment. I always hated the training points so now what I do on the field matters. I also hated the training sessions now training will be for me a lot less tedious. I don't feel the we will be pigeon holed it's just a different step on my way the the " Show ". Overall I am looking forward to this years version of RTTS to continue my journey of my versions of 5 tools players, JMHO.When you come to a fork in the road, take it..... Yogi Berra

They have made good equipment even more valuable for both DD and RTTS so I expect demand to go up while the supply stays low.Comment

Just be prepared for the best equipment to be pretty expensive. Unless you get lucky with some gold/diamond pulls you are going to have to sell a bunch of common and bronze players to even afford one diamond piece of equipment.

Okay MAYYYBBEE, "Daddy Pops" is funny once? Maybe? But dear god, can the guy doing the interview shut the ___ up about it and stop laughing and bringing it up the entire video. Is he 12? I never saw his face, he must be.Comment

I like the changes and especially ditching the microtransactions. I'm into the grind and I've never understood how maxing your player out with stubs you partially earned in other modes is fun. Grind it is.

And many RTTS players never venture into other modes so their stubs come entirely from RTTSComment

They didn't ditch the microtransactions, they just changed them from buying points to buying gear that is 100% necessary to eclipse their artificial limits on your abilities.Comment
