Re: How do you get through your franchise seasons?
Play two or three games a day, it doesn't take long to burn through a whole season. -
Re: How do you get through your franchise seasons?
I play every single MLB game on the schedule, so I can use different teams see different stadiums it never gets boring, and I know that I am creating all those stats. it's my own world
if I just use the one team and play every single day it can get boring after a whileComment

Re: How do you get through your franchise seasons?
The year to year saves has given me the motivation to play. I pretty play the game February through August. Knowing that the games I play in February and March are still going to count when the new game comes out keeps me paying. I started my cubbies franchise on mlb 14 on the ps3 and as I type I have one game remaining in my 9th season. I’ve played every game.Comment

Re: How do you get through your franchise seasons?
I'm on my third season in 17. I play every game in April then afterward, I play one sim three. I'm sure that still has me simming more games than playing but I enjoy it. Oh and of course I play every post season game.Comment

Re: How do you get through your franchise seasons?
I play every single game. Some days I don't play any games, others I play up to 10 a day. I also play all year long as I've stopped playing other sports games, so its baseball 365 days a year.
Also with carryover saves there isn't this feeling of needing to hurry thru seasons to experience the building of teams. I get thru 2 seasons without issue each new year and most of the time I get thru 3 years.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: How do you get through your franchise seasons?
I usually either do two things:
Play 1 sim 5.. that way I play with each starter.
Or
Play 1-2 games depending on the series and at least 2 in a divisional game. End up playing quite a bit of games and get to experience every stadium on your schedule. (Much longer approach than the former)Comment

I am on year three of my Pirates franchise. Have quick managed every game, spring training and all. Can roll through a season in two weeks while still feeling connected to the players and know exactly how the team is doing.Comment

Re: How do you get through your franchise seasons?
I’ve started using Quick Manage to help speed things along. That way I have control of player substitute-ions. I don’t really use a formula of which games I play vs quick manage, I kinda decide as I go and how the team is doing.

Re: How do you get through your franchise seasons?
I didn't do a Franchise last year as DD sucked me in, but when I do I play every pitch of all 162 games. Looking to get back to that in 18 with the Phillies.

Re: How do you get through your franchise seasons?
I play the first 14 games of every season, then playoffs (if my team makes it). That way, I get to be immersed by my players, but also play few enough games that I can get several years into the future. My favorite part of franchise play in sports games is to watch my kids grow and develop, so, for me, getting many years into the future is important.Comment
