After the game is over you get the screen to move on to the next game or the clubhouse, you then scroll down to the replay vault/movie maker before you go to the next game or to the clubhouse, you can then filter teams or players for all plays or just hits.Hope this makes sense.

Re: Official MLB 18 : Road to the Show Thread
Has anyone found out how to not lose your jersey number when another player is called up or acquired that's wearing the same number?
Is this not happening to anyone else? For those that don't know, if you're (for example) #3 and another player comes to your team with that number you then take the next highest available number. Last year I had three different numbers within a month or two of my season and this year I had a new number within the first two weeks. It's always been exceptionally frustrating to me.
Right now I'm just given my player (Donnie "Moonlight" Graham) the number 77. Hoping that it's an odd enough number that no one will steal it from me. I'd love to be a more MLB-friendly number though.Comment

Re: Official MLB 18 : Road to the Show Thread
If SDS was going to remove the individual's ability to decide where their points were going to be placed than they really should have come up with a better system for awarding points for things. Right now it just doesn't make any sense at all. If you do something like smash a 2 RBI triple you get + to only power swing vs whatever. If you do something not great like hit a ball with guys on that leads to an out you get -- for clutch. There doesn't seem to be ANY rhyme or reason to this system at all. I went on a 22 game hit streak with 30 RBI's, 10 triples, 12 doubles, and something like a .700 BA and managed to get 2 points in contact and 2 in power.... This is not a system that seems to work accurately.Maple Leafs ][ Blue Jays ][ Raptors ][ Bears

I mean in-game. Not literally an instant replay.

Unfortunately, there is no option for result play. Was really hoping they would patch this in, along with a few other recommendations (https://forums.operationsports.com/f...xperience.html).

Re: Official MLB 18 : Road to the Show Thread
So, I'm done with MLB 18 RTTS. I like where SDS was headed, but I feel the mode was executed poorly. I have no problem with staying in the minors longer, but the way you're awarded and penalized isn't sitting right with me. They could've just removed microtransactions for training points but keep training points and maybe lower the amount you're awarded with. They want to go the route of RPG but RPGs give you control, not take it away. I was all for the archetypes and fact that you're not a top prospect, but it's the progression that bugs me. Can't forget the poor camera angles.
I'm just going to go back to '17, mimic the archetype I wanted, and play that until there are some patches/updates made to RTTS in '18, if there even will be any. Just beyond mad with myself for downloading '18 when I knew I should've either waited or gotten a physical copy. The rest of the gameplay's fine, so maybe I'll play it for DD from time to time.
Also, this has been said before, but microtransactions are still kind of in RTTS if you're going to want good equipment. It's not like you get a reasonable amount of stubs playing anything outside of DD. Wish they'd make contracts mean something in RTTS and have the $ allow you access to better equipment or agents. Eager to see how they'll execute RTTS next year.
Lastly, not all RPGs have this type of progression; Skyrim did, Fallout didn't. And both games are great. They need to actually play out the mode and make sure whatever change happens next year is appropriate for the game. There are so many improvements to RTTS that could've been made that aren't tied to progression. Really feels like they didn't test out the mode this year.Last edited by bxphenom7; 03-27-2018, 09:10 PM.Comment

Re: Official MLB 18 : Road to the Show Thread
Started a Road to the Show as a Powerhouse RF. I was just about to give up on it after about 15 games because all I could do was get weak singles (with the exception of one home run). I was batting about .215 with like 6 RBIs. I was not enjoying it at all.
What made it worse was I was on Dynamic Difficulty, which had me at Rookie since i haven't had the game long. I couldn't even have success against Rookie difficulty.
Then the other night I watched a video of a guy playing RttS on Legend and it looked fun. So I decided to try it out.
It completely changed the game for me. Pitchers try to paint the corners, but they miss a lot (it is AA ball, so it makes sense). I have to really pay attention to know if it is a strike or ball. I work it into hitters counts as much as possible and then I explode on a mistake. I also work some walks, which I'm usually not good at.
After playing about 10 more games I'm hitting .317 with a .364 OBP, .507 SLG, 3 HRs and 17 RBIs. I'm also hitting some true gappers for doubles.
It's made the mode so much more fun for me because I feel so rewarded when i have great at bats.Comment

Re: Official MLB 18 : Road to the Show Thread
Decided to play RTTS in MLB 18 again....lol
I'm enjoying it now. Guess I just needed to give it more time. Still worried for what's going to happen with progression once I increase the difficulty, but that won't be until I reach the majors. Less hits will mean less gains, so still a bit of an "eh" feeling for not getting any sort of compensation for good contact. Also wish you wouldn't lose contact progression on swings and misses, feels like plate vision or plate discipline should be affected rather depending if the pitch is in the zone or not.
Nonetheless, won't be going back to '17....for now.
Anyone know what the training options are like in the offseason?Comment

I still have a difficult time on the ones I have to go straight back on. A lot of times I end up running around in circles on those lolComment

Re: Official MLB 18 : Road to the Show Thread
Quick question in case anyone is experiencing something similar..... I have a cannon archetype RF and I'm having an issue developing Arm Strength. Everything else is coming along decent..... but it NEVER gives me the option to train it on my off days in between series. I only get it randomly and in combination with like power hitting or something like that. Is there a key to triggering the option to develop it more frequently?? Do you need to max out another category or what?? There is no way in game that I have found to develop it so I'm lost. I'm at the allstar break in year 2 and have played EVERY game and my Arm strength is still only right around 70.Comment
