Re: Phases?
Sounds like those people don't know a lot about baseball then. A huge piece of building your team vs. watching an animation of some umps calling a game and players walking off the field? Unless they are actually expecting to sit a couple hours while it "rains" maybe?Comment

Re: Phases?
Unfortunately that's not the point. There's more than one way to enjoy baseball. Even if it's some of 'em are having fun ''wrong''. As for me, I'm vanilla. I'm fine with no rain and a bare-bones trade system.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: Phases?
People had been asking for rain delays for years. They're putting it in, and they seem to be realistically implementing them. Seems like a feature the community asked for...the devs listened and are taking action.

Re: Phases?
Anyone else find it funny that the OP complains that his favorite mode didn't get much of an upgrade and then states he is going to buy the game anyway? Why even make this thread? What incentive does SDS have if people that only play franchise keep buying the game every year despite them not really doing anything with the mode? Why complain and protest etc when you are just going to give SDS your money anyway?Comment

Re: Phases?
I hate the coat of paint comment, it's just not accurate. I have seen it in a bunch of times.
- Improved retirement logic
- Improved bullpen logic
- Better gameplay - hitting engine, tags, etc.
- Better and more realistic CAPs - they look wayyy better
- Batting stance editor
- Enhanced presentation w/ more stadium tagging
- Phases which may be a coat of point but it looks really nice
- Rain delays w/ new fog that looks sick. Along with more realistic weather patterns. Rain stopping and starting.
And there's a ton more that impact Franchise and other modes. We may not have got all the features we wanted but the game is certainly improved. I would like to see relocation/expansion but thats being held back by create-a-stadium. Which I think we'll get eventually but who knows when.
If someone isn't excited about it, that's cool with me. But there's definitely more added to the game than a "coat of paint".
Everyone has their own hot button things that they're looking for. And if this game isn't for you, then that's cool man. I just wouldn't be so involved on the forums either if I had no interest in buying or playing a certain game.
The point has been made by dozens of people and it's a fact, there is a lot more added to the game than a 'fresh coat'. If the things added don't appeal to you, then you can spend your $60 on something else. It's all good.Comment

How is this thread still open? We have already beat this horse in the franchise stream thread.Comment

Re: Phases?
If he doesn't buy the game does he have more of a right to critique it? For any of us that plan on buying the game one way or the other does that mean we waive the right to voice displeasure with it?
I don't like the way he's gone about it at times but he absolutely has the right to critique regardless of intent to buy or not.Comment
