How much does the new hitting feedback system help?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

      I don't use it, personally.

Based on the videos, it doesn't really look that great either. Sure, maybe it helps for the timing window... but some of the geometries seem a bit off, plus the placement of the ball on the bat. I'm fine doing without it, and don't think it would much help me.

Has player regression been fixed in franchise? I haven't played in a few years but I recall players falling off a cliff by age 30-31 in prior installments regardless of performance.

          The Show 18 Q&A Thread.

Is anybody else hearing the same fan chant every 15 seconds? This is insane. It’s the same girl screaming. “Hey guys come on” is what I think she’s saying. This is driving me insane.

          It’s nonstop!

Maybe this isn’t the right thread (it IS the Q&A thread, after all). Can someone explain to me why Jim Johnson got the save? He met the conditions of a save, except the game says he only pitched 2.2 innings. To record a save, he has to have pitched at least 3 innings.

Was the tying run ever at the plate in those 2.2 innings?

The reason he got the save was because when he entered the game there was 8 outs to go which potentially means there is a possiblity for 8 runs which would mean a tie or win is possible so there for he earns a save for getting through those 8 outs...........the rule actually states if a reliever enters the game with as many outs to go as there is to tie or win the game then as long as the reliever finishes the game from there he will earn the save

I don't ever recall reading that in the scoring rule, but if that's true then that just adds so much less meaning to an already useless statistic.

I feel like the save is now just more there for the pitcher to get rather than for it to actually hold any effect for the game itself. I think that Holds should become a much more prominent stat alongside saves if we're going to play that game. Sometimes the closer just has to work through the 6-7-8 hitters while the setup guy might be doing the heavy lifting and grunt work, you know.

Yeah, I don’t see that in the rulebook.

Guess I was wrong I had always thought that you could get a two inning save if you entered the game with same number of outs as runs needed to tie or win......guess we all learn something each day my bad on the wrong information

Can stubs not be used for training points and can you not be 99 overall in each category

You can no longer use stubs in RTTS for training points, as attribute progression is all based on on-field performance and focus training (that is not interactive).

And you cannot reach 99 overall in every category due to the caps put in place by the archetype you choose for your player.

And do you earn a card after every game you play? I've gotten 2 cards after a game one time.

                              How are these cards 'distributed'?

Hey guys, I'm new to Operation Sports. I tried to create a thread, but was advised I couldn't do so since I'm new to the account. Anyways, I'm here asking the MLB The Show community for some guidance. I just got the game and to my surprise there's no Online Franchise, which is a bummer since I play every year with about 10 of my friends (you can understand my frustration). Can you guys please guide me if there's a spreadsheet or website some of you will use for your offline franchise league? Also, could you guys please share any ideas on how you would manage your offline leagues I would really love to hear them. Would really appreciate some replies. Thanks guys!
