Guys,

Slightly off topic question. When playing online vs someone, what is the significance of the online settings? For example:

If I set my hitting to "all-star". My pitching to "all-star". Guess pitch on. Will I play against opponents who has these same exact settings? Some clarification would be nice.

No sweat, all that same stuff bugs me too, especially the second set of questions. ******* shame. Anyway, responding again because I made a mistake: no you can’t turn off the manager notifications (“hit and run”, “sac bunt” etc.) while pitching.

Has anyone else noticed a dramatic sensitivity change for meter pitching? It seems like I'm barely pressing X at all for the timing input and it is triggering. Is this what they meant by "tuning pitching?" If so, it's a great new challenge

Is there a way to Player Lockyer whole season in franchise mode instead of player locking before every game?

Unless it was changed, go to your lineup/pitching rotation screen (depending on position of player) and you should be able to lock him.

Is anyone else getting depleted reliever stamina when you bring a guy in from the bullpen? Warm up the guy, bring him in and, despite being fully rested, his stamina is slightly depleted. This was in the game last year towards the later patches and apparently they haven't fixed it. Franchise mode, btw.

Edited to add: it doesn't happen every time. It's like a 50/50 chance that it happens.

I’m still finding pitching too easy - 16 team strikeouts for me versus 4 for the CPU in my last game - but I’m not sure if the answer is to increase the difficulty or adjust the sliders. It’s probably the outcome to my pitching that I want to change more than the process of being able to pitch. Or maybe an overlap of both, hence my conundrum.

I want missing my release point to result in more inaccurate pitches. I want the CPU to get their bat on the ball more and hit better shots when they do. Sliders or difficulty?

I also want my own hitters to miss more often (so they strikout more) but also make better contact when they do. Sliders or difficulty?

I would go up in difficulty by one level and see if that provides the results you want

Most likely reason is that your RP are warming up too long. If you leave them warming up while they are already warm, they will start to lose stamina. You need to change them to “ready and waiting”

As far as I know, there are no in-season contract renewal options.

Ok, thanks. So during my first season the guys who are slated to be free agents after the season will hit the market and there's nothing I can do about it. That's frustrating.

That's not the case...you get a short timeframe (5 in-game days, I think) where you have exclusive negotiations with the players on your team that are set to be free agents.
