Do they have season mode cause I heard they took it out and in franchise mode can you change the length of the season or do you have to play all 162 games

I've never played MLB The Show before, but I'm seriously thinking about buying it. I"ve got two quick questions; First, in Franchise Mode is there an initial fantasy draft option? Second, I thought the release date was the 27th- is it available at stores or online already? Thanks.

Disabled list question. Had a player get injured for 30 to 60 days. Is there any reason to put him on the 60 day disabled list? My plan is to keep putting him on the 10 day disabled list.

There has to be a reason otherwise I'll just keep putting him on 10 day incase he recovers in 30 days

Putting him on the 60 day DL frees up a 40-man spot. However, if injured up to 60 days I don't see a reason put him on the 60-day. You could get him back earlier by putting him on the 10-day and waiting it out. I don't think you need to put him on a second time, just put him on the 10-day and wait until his is ready to play.

To add to the above answer, the "days" only represent the minimum number of days the player needs to be out to qualify. Once they are on the DL for 10 days, they can just stay on and leave whenever ready. So they can, for example, be on the 10 day for 13 days, and come back on the 14th day with no consequence because they were on for the minimum 10 days. The 60 day is the same. You can be on it for 61 days and come back on day 62.

There is a fantasy draft option for franchise and to answer your second question, there was early release for pre orders but the game will be out on 27th at retailers

Can someone confirm if it's still possible to set up the CPU to control every teams' rosters, day to day transactions, and play CPU vs CPU games that you can watch on offline franchise? I've bought every version since 2015 and can do this with all of those. With the couple of things left out for MLB 18, I just wanted to make sure this wasn't left off too.

Anyone how to see lineup of other team so you can see whether they are batting righty/lefty for the whole team. I know you can see the next three batters in bullpen but you used to be able to hit touchpad but it does nothing
