I did. I thought that at first as well, but I want back and watch the replay and it was the no doubt. I had no idea where the ball was going off the bat though. It looked straight up. That was also in RTTS though. I havent played a regular game yet.

I like the old HR no doubter angle better, where you could see the signature swing and the pitcher's reaction. This one is such an abrupt transition, and so awkwardly jarring.

IMO, ideally we'd have the old no doubter angle with a pop up window showing the flight of the ball, and an option to turn it off where the camera would just follow the ball off the bat.

It seems very few people like this new camera angle, and I'm curious why this was implemented in the first place.

Finally saw my second no-doubter HR cam, of maybe fifteen no-doubters seen now? It was on a walk-off home run. Personally, it felt kind of cool in that scenario. I have only seen it in night games and both times my player did not obstruct the flight path, and I sort of liked the look of it.

If Scooter was still hanging around, you'd hear him ask for one that follows the ball's flight path a little more (like in the air). I'd certainly like to see one of those for an AT&T Park splash landing or over the Green Monster, that's for sure.

Otherwise, I'd like for them to figure out the Broadcast and Retro cams for balls that go any distance and land in any location, really showing that landing spot without any stadium obstructions along the way.

After playing a bunch of games this weekend, the HR camera is so immersion-breaking and annoying! PLEASE give us the option to turn that off.

I love the No Doubt Camera, it's so much fun to just sit back and admire. I take the time to look at the Defense reaction as well as the fans. It's the exact opposite for me, I love the immersion it brings.

I have always liked the home run cameras every year.

Re: New no doubt HR camera

I am happy (somewhat) to announce that the no-doubt camera is not always based on distance.

J.D. Martinez hit a first inning, 3R HR at Fenway that traveled 460 feet and hit the building across Landsdowne.

I didn't get the HR back-hip camera shot, but was rewarded with the majextic, ever so awesome pull back whole-field HR camera that I love.

Later in the game, Nunez hit one that just got over the wall at the bullpens, and it immediately gave me the new, putrid HR camera.

So, luckily, we may some some monster home runs and not have to automatically get the new camera angle.

Correct. The only thing in play that will possibly activate the no-doubt HR camera is if the player deems it as a no-doubter himself.

I'm not saying I've had no-doubt wall-scrapers, but I've had sub-400 foot shots to straightaway RF/LF and my player is walking it out. So no, it doesn't have to be 450 feet or anything like that.

Also, as I said previously, I have witnessed at least 15 no-doubters now (more so now that I've given up a couple more heh), and I've only seen the camera itself just twice so far. It's definitely not all of the time. The only thing distance can provide is the no-doubt celebration, and the camera at times will trigger because of it.

This new camera view seems to be occuring in the majority of my home runs hit so far. Not a fan at all. During an actual game, most ppl are more interested in seeing where a 490ft tape measure will land. Save the theatrics for replays.

It's growing on me. I'm not seeing a lot of HR's and not seeing it every time when I do so it's not as intrusive as I initially thought. It's actually neat to see something different when a big HR happens.

There should be an option to turn it off.

I see no HR cam shots in RTTS or when player locked in other modes, as well as being locked into one strange far away camera view. Is there a way out of this? I find these modes unpleasurable with this camera view.
