I thought this BP mode was taken out? Is it located in the custome practice mode?

It is only in RTTS mode. You go to the calendar screen (not the play next appearance option), press X, and select it from there.

All of the options are still available to a position player - hitting, stealing and fielding. I haven't done a pitcher yet so I don't know about that.

There are no rating benefits for using it - it's just a sort of testing and practice ground.

Hope they eventually fix the pitch count not showing on quick counts.

I wish they would have given the 3 inning option for Franchise mode. When they advertised it they led you to believe it would be in franchise mode to help speed up your season, but it is only available for play now mode which is unnecessary in my opinion

Sorry for the simple question, but I'm new to all of this -- does the patch automatically download and install after I get into the game? I saw the news about the patch yesterday and and so when I jumped on to play late last night, everything loaded like normal -- I never saw a notice or message that said something new had been installed or patched

I think its more for Diamond Dynasty. It doesnt work the same way in play now, as your stamina isnt tied to how many innings you choose in play now. And you can choose to play a 1 inning game or 2 inning game in play now as well as 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 innings. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, I don't know for anybody else, but to me even the frame rate seems a bit smoother as well. Could be just me though

Not sure if it is placebo, but I too have noticed this on the base PS4.

Just played a game against Nola, low to mid 90's, and they definitely increased pitch speed and I love it. Pitch speed at 10 for both on HOF is perfect. I will now fear flamethrowers again. Also, the hitters stride is much more fluid with the increase which is beautiful to see. Lastly, I highly suggest The Show 15 hitting cam as the distance from the hitter to pitcher and beyond looks just about right

Nice, nice. That's how I hit in 17, HOF, 10/10 pitch speed sliders. Glad to hear it's seeming better.

Hearing about the floaty pitches gave me MLB13 flashbacks. Loved the opening...not the hitting wiffle ball non-defining offspeed pitches.

Since we have no other visual cues, having offspeed "define" themselves by their break pattern is needed. Higher pitch speed helps with that "definition" as well as the deception and depth of movement.

I hate the game post patch. I am a mediocre player at best who plays on veteran at all times . I use guess pitch as well. I was really enjoying DD for the first few early access days despite the frequent stupid errors my players would make (Griffey once dropped an easy fly ball). Now the errors are unbearable. From RANDOM PITCHER picking the same starter 2 games in a row multiple times, to ignoring my #3 starter, to relievers who are warmed up being brought in and suddenly I cant stop the pitch meter at all for a batter or two. Now the increased pitch speed has mad the game unplayable to me. They could have just sped up pitching on allstar and above difficulties and left veteran for those of us who aren't the best players. It's already bad enough I cant do a season without negotiating thru franchise but now DD is frustrating when I was having a blast. For RTTS I got bumped out of my position after a few weeks and sent to LF, I created a player for franchise sent him to free agent pool and he vanished and now DD is just plain not fun for me. I stopped playing the show after a week a few years back because hitting was too difficult and now it seems I'll do that again. Veteran was the perfect difficulty pre-patch for me.

It's something that was done by design according to a dev post on TSN (which I linked earlier in the thread), so I honestly don't think they're going to patch it. JMO.

Agreed, most frustrating part of this release for me (other than still waiting on Best Buy to ship the pre-order bonus codes).

It's dumb to have to access a menu to see something that is presented in the score bug in all other instances, like having to pause to find out the count.
