Can we just start with keeping proper records of WS champs and award winners? Sheesh.

Minor league stats and ways to check pitching attributes without feeling like you’re cheating would be highly beneficial too.

A separate, pre game data editor available on PC that allows to edit just about anything before starting a franchise, like the Championship Manager games have had for decades now. So you can edit everything, from what's already on the game, to managers/coaches, team profiles (fanbase, budget etc), schedules. You name it, you could easily do it with a separate editor. Then you could just download the edited file and start your franchise with it, with the current in game editor still their for minor fixes along the way.

Honestly think it's the way forwards, it would allow so much depth and options to be added to franchise, open up incredible historic options and generally just make everything 100 times more editable for those interested in that side of things. Slap a $20 price tag on it on steam or whatever and I guarantee you a lot of us would gladly pay, whereas thousands of others would gladly take advantage of the new and improved downloadable rosters in the vault.

        I'd love this

Also non roster invitee option for spring training, I'd like that one too

While I know SDS will never look at this thread, I'll mention a couple of things I would love added:
          - the ability to have legends added to the FA pool in RttS, similarly how MVP 2005 worked.
          - the stat, ABs with the bases loaded especially for a RttS player
          - Stats in general are still pretty basic. Really would be good to expound on them
          - The records to break...is pretty poor. Does anyone actually care about breaking the consecutive saves streak? Records I care about breaking that aren't currently in the game, walks (season and career), consecutive games with a HR, consecutive games reaching base, records to break for each franchise, grand slams in a season and career, etc.

Human/CPU fielding sliders. Been waiting for years. The CPU is just better. Period. CPU fielders don't play to their ratings. But apparently SDS doesn't seem to think it's an issue.

Re: Feature I Would Love to have in MLB the Show 19

Things already mentioned I concur with:

                  fixing bunts

                  bring back online franchise

allow full editing of ANYTHING. coaches, players, faces, contracts, ANYTHING. This is our universe, no reason to limit what we can do with it

Coach/Manager traits such as "analytics guy" "old school" "players manager" (this would require morale to work properly)

                  GM traits

ability to hire retired players as GMs/coaches/managers

Expanded rosters. I'll settle for 105 but ideally it should more like 150. Just have sim stats for A ball and below. But real teams have well over 150 with 5 or 6 levels of A/rookie ball.

                  non-roster invitees to spring training

in season contract extensions. I'd also add options, both team and player options and no trade clauses, both full and limited

Revamp budget system. I just want a total dollar figure I have to spend. None of this weekly nonsense. And if a bunch of dollars are being held for arbitration eligible players and contract extensions, show me that. And as I waive my rights to resign someone, this amount should lower

                  Gameplay issues:
                  improved fielding animations
fewer passed balls, better catcher skills
FAR fewer balls hit off the pitcher
Far fewer throws dropped by the 1st baseman
proper scoring of plays (you can't assume a double play, thus no error is given for example)
Better ball physics off the bat.
More swings and misses, fewer foul balls

                  Franchise improvements:
                  better trade/FA logic

ability to turn off/on any function from morale to trades to free agent signings to CPU teams moving players up and down or changing 40 man rosters

improved morale system. Like the concept but they threw it on there several years ago and haven't touched it since. It's a broken concept and you can't turn it off. Needs a lot of work.

Progression/regression. Still a big struggle with this concept. Players don't progress much. Young pitchers should improve stamina. On the other hand speed should be pretty much set at the time of drafting. Speed should not progress, only regress as a player ages. And things like batting eye should improve with age while reflexes regress. Players get craftier as they age but physical skills diminish.

Randomize progression/regression. Some folks don't like this so referring back to everything being optional, it should be able to be turned off. That said, I'd love more guys who suddenly fall apart or have a breakout seasons. Currently progression is so predictable. We know who the top guys are. We know who is going to get better. And rarely does a player simply fall apart. IRL that happens to pitchers all the time. And sometimes they fall apart, then find themselves again. We need more JD Martinez types in the game, who suddenly "get it" out of nowhere. More Tim Lincecum types who fall apart and never really get it back. And some Verlander types who underperform, then figure out how to get back to elite status.

More immersion. Study NBA2k and why it works. Why it feels like a real NBA season.

more stats on cards. More tracking of milestones. Make milestones a far bigger deal in the game.

Ability to reject trades. Also bring back trade delay where trades take time to happen.

                  Bring back online franchise.

                  Bring back season mode.

Stop focusing 99% of attention on areas that bring in micro transaction revenue

Re: Feature I Would Love to have in MLB the Show 19

I've already posted in here but I also just recently thought of something.

Maybe in the same way that there is morale in the game, we could see a confidence rating added, which would affect progression. Confidence could be affected by mainly on-field performance, but also by team chemistry, team performance, contract status, trade block status, etc. Confidence could play a role in player progression and regression, for example a player who starts performing terribly would see their confidence rating lower gradually and be more and more susceptible to heavy regression, especially if that player is over 30.

One rule I would like to see is when you have a pitcher injured the relief pitcher is allowed to have more than 8 warmup pitches. Seems like when I have a starter go down it’s always in the 1st inning.

Offer legendary managers like Casey Stengel and the ability to create your own managers.

I'm working on a franchise lite for one season of play. All double A & Single A players will have all zero attributes, only thing is there won't be any free-agent either.

I would love to see the player accomplishments during their careers. Part of the fun of simming through franchise is seeing how your guys are doing and how they'll end up when they retire. Id love to see a list of accomplishments. Seeing 3000 hits, 500 hr, championships, records, etc would be a more immersive experience during franchise.

NBA 2K has a place in their player profile where all their accomplishments are listed. Maybe MLB could do something similar.

                                1) Bring back Season Mode (with option to continue from MLB 17 for those wishing to continue their season files)

That's probably a pipe dream, but here's even greater pipe dreams:
                                2) Create a Team in Franchise/Season (fully customizable like in Diamond Dynasty)
                                3) Create a Stadium in Franchise/Season
