Take more time between pitches. Step off the rubber. Do what you can to change the rhythm. At least that's what I try and do.

I try to change my pitching pattern.

Usually, I like strike, ball (show/setup), ball (want chase), strike in my first four pitches. Then, after that, I'm trying to get chases.

But if the CPU is starting to hit more often either first pitch or on 2-1, then I'll try something like ball (chase), ball (setup), strike (opposite of last pitch), ball/strike (depending on result of 3rd pitch), then alternate strike/ball (chase) until I get him or he walks, which if they have momentum, is better than him lashing a double somewhere.

That way, hopefully they'll be overagressive first pitch, then that can open up the PA for me to attack and maybe get control of the inning if I can retire the hitter.

Is there a comeback-code in The Show 18? Like in FIFA the "momentum"...I don't mean 6th inning comeback...

When i lead with my team (I play offline Franchise), suddenly my defensive players make ridiculous amateur errors and the other team scores easy...

I can't remember this in The Show 17? What happened ? I think The Show 18 feels more coded/robotic and less natural in gameplay...

There is pitcher confidence which can really affect the game and outcome...but nothing for fielders that we know off.

          No, it's much ado...
But we can't feel good about choking if we dont have this conversation multiple times throughout the season.

Code needs to be changed I just had this on a game I was the Phillies and was playing the cardinals. I was up 7-2 in the 6th. They jacked 3 home runs and pitches were why outside and the next innings they scored more runs to beat me it's ridiculous. Fix the comeback code.

Does it need tweaked where it only happens occasionally or does it need to be removed altogether?

Only when he loses. Must be weird to comment on this when he doesn't have the game, huh?

One thing that always bothered me in this and past games are how often closers struggle in the game. Doesn't matter if it's Jansen, Kimbrel, or Rodney on the mound. They all have a tendency to struggle with their command/control.

I dunno, so many different opinions in this game.

I led off my Rangers franchise game with a homerun and the Tigers starter proceeded to shut me down the rest of the way only giving up two more hits for the next 6 innings.

I was down 2-1 in the top of the 9th against the Tigers and brought Keona Kela in to keep it a 1 run game in case I found a way to scratch across a run in the bottom half. And of course I walked the first batter and he ended up scoring giving them that all important insurance run.

And what happened in the bottom half you ask, Choo leads off with homerun which of course would have tied it.

But then I singled with Beltre (pinch ran with Tommy La Stella), drew a walk with Gallo, they advanced to 2nd and 3rd on a wild pitch, and in a 1-1 count I lined a 2 run single to the gap in left with Chirinos and won 4-3 in walkoff fashion.

I've had it go the other way before to but that's a realistic part of baseball. One thing I love about this game since I've come back is how many tense pressure filled situations there are.

I don't know I am playing all star hitting and HOF pitching with armors slider tweaked. I am playing as the Phillies. I was winning 7-2 then all of a sudden st Louis hits 2 back to back. Then the next innings they rally and then win the game it's bullcrap. I know alot of people are seeing it. I think it only happens on allstart and above

I rarely play above veteran because I struggle with high pitch speeds. I have found this year to be much better for me. I can't speak for the 6th, but, I had a game last night that seemed wonky. HOF vs Dodgers and winning going in to the 9th 6 to 3.

I got 2 outs cruizing along. Then a double down the right field line....then a double over my left fielders head....Shawn Green rookie who is a 73 speed....he should have been able to get to it, but, it was like he was in quick sand...then....double to right field over Griffey's head....then another double right down the right field line....tie game....

Extras, get to the 11th....get 2 outs...then a dribbler in front of the plate....easy play...oh wait...catcher runs over the ball with out even trying to pick it up....ok....then with out a lead the 68 speed runner steals second by a mile....strange....double....game over....it seemed like I was meant to lose and nothing was going to stop it.....

Strange thing...the same 68 runner also beat out a hit directly to Cal Ripken at 3rd....routine play....something is off there.....maybe his speed was misrepresented???

Throwing runners out is something I really struggle with, I honestly don't think I've thrown a single runner out. I've gotten some pick offs or thrown out a runner on a pitch that didn't get far enough away but never a straight up steal attempt.
