I haven't played the game this year, so I can't speak to whether it's scripted or not. But, I can categorically state that this thread is scripted. It always happens like this and progresses like this with the same posters taking up the same coats of arms each time.
Just when Padgoi thinks he's winning this thread, countryboy, PhilliesFan13, ShowTyme15, and Armor and Sword have an improbable rally in the bottom of the 9th to snuff it out.Last edited by WaitTilNextYear; 05-16-2018, 03:35 PM.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Uh..... the Thread title ends with "the patches have ruined it for me". Maybe not your intention.... but that doesn't exactly project enthusiasm and enjoyment. lol.Comment

I haven't seen them myself, although I haven't experienced many blocked balls in the dirt resulting runners trying to advance.
Quick question, what throwing mechanic are you using? I personally use buttons throwing mechanic.
Not suggesting that its definitively user error, just wandering if maybe one of the throwing mechanics got messed up in a patch????

Like I said I haven't seen it, or honestly don't recall seeing it if I happened.
I'll be on the lookout and see if it happens during my games.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: I loved this game when it first came out, but the patches have ruined it for me
This is a computer game complete with all the faults that games always possess. I am going to date myself here, but perhaps the reason why I don't let the warts of these modern games get to me is because I remember the first computer baseball game I ever played:
Followed years later by the 2nd computer baseball game I played:
and as fun as those games were back in their days, their warts were even bigger and nastier than the modern MLB 18 warts we deal with today. Now there is nothing easy about picking up a round bat and hitting a round baseball, especially when the pitcher throws stuff into those round baseballs. I remember the last time I tried to do this in the real world (baseball not softball) and I didn't know if I should be swinging or ducking since the pitchers I faced were rather wild at times.Comment

I go back to the Intellivision days.... which is around 1980 I think. (I was 9). Try playing baseball with a remote control. Atari 2600, 5200, etc.... played them all. Far cry from Pong and Battlezone (tanks) to MLB the Show 18. When you can keep perspective it can make you feel pretty silly sometimes.Comment
