Wild pitches seem to be increased to last yrs levels now. Had 6 in one game. 5 in the next. Also the fielding logic on manual fielding seems messed up.

Well here is my take on the new patch. I've got over 50+ games played in my Oakland A's franchise so far currently in the end of July. Funny, I just finished a three game series(played all games) with the Rockies in Colorado and I did notice right away the new Jumbo screen without knowing it was changed!

I play most of my games and sim maybe one or two a series and play auto fielding with manual throws and Auto running. Allstar hitting and HOF Pitching using A&S sliders. What I have notice is that the hitting is much better now. I now see the down the line hits and the nice slice/curves down the line and in the gap where as in the last 1.08 patch before I didn't see much of it.

Also, I see some kind of reaction/urgency from the outfielders and infielders that I didn't notice before. However, I've also seen on occasion where there are stuck in animation when I want to throw to a base and they don't want to throw the ball even though I pressed the correct base button, this didn't happen before this new patch.

There are still some small funky quirks that I hope they still can fix with another patch. The first base coach cutscene where they show him without his helmet is still not fix!..lol..just kidding! It's not a big deal and it doesn't ruin this great game! but I thought I mention it..lol

I haven't had any issues with the first baseman not going to first base to make the out on auto fielding and I always use the "O" button or I just move the stick, both work fine with me. So, it's not a bad patch overall I guess..

In what way(s) is the fielding logic messed on manual fielding?

The scoreboard at Chase Field has been wrong for a season and a half.....just sayin'

Finished my first game post patch. Infielders have a slight bit more urgency to them but nothing excessive. Felt really smooth and balanced.

Getting a stuck scorebug bar across the screen most games. Probably already widely known.

Thats been happening since release along with the on screen info that is accessed by the d-pad disappearing randomly during games.

Have reported it before with pics,video. I liked the old system of reporting bugs where we could see and vote what bugs other players are reporting.

Very cool to see them adding art to the game via patch. I would really like to see SCEA take this a step further and add the new scoreboards at Angels Stadium, and move the home run line down in RF.

I already felt this version played a superb game of baseball, and addressing the urgency on throws is just sprinkles on top.

Can confirm that the new Rockies scoreboard IS in.

Coors looks awesome. Big update to the park

Oh yeah! My Rockies franchise just got a whole lot better with that giant beautiful scoreboard now in the game.

Agreed. Love the DP turns they try now and they'll charge more often.

Also can't wait for home game in my Rockies franchise after hearing the praise for how it is now.

Hopefully, the new video board layout at the Oakland Coliseum can make it into the game at some point this season too.

I had that happen a bunch the first few weeks after the game came out, but I haven’t had it happen in a while.

Im with you on this. In fact Im still on 1.07 lol. I may still get 1.09 but im giving it a little time to get some more opinions.

By the way how large is the file, if anyone noticed?

Yeah man I feel ya on that. Wish I still had update 1.07.. as you and a few hundred others already know lol

Have not download 1.09 yet but going to asafp. I'm sure hoping some things are different with the batter AI in Franchise. Was not liking something with 1.08.

Question were we able to adjust jersey sleeve length on SDS players before the patch?

Could've swore we could, did the patch change it to just CAP players or was it this way all year?

I've gotta say, I wasn't expecting much different in terms of fielding after this patch, but I must say after 2 games (yes I know small sample size) the fielding with infielders feels even smoother/better. The fielders seem more "free" and not locked in.

It could all very well be placebo and what I'm seeing was there before, but I'll be damn if it sure doesn't feel different, and for the better.

Plus I'm 2-0 since patch 1.09 so to me its the greatest patch ever!!!
