I don't. I've found that most teams stick to their budgets anyway, but it's natural to see some fluctuation with organizations in terms of their budget and how much they want to spend so I don't think too much about it.
My favorite teams are better than your favorite teams

Thanks for the replies! I'm still on the fence with budgets on/off, but if I go the way of off, your info definitely helps!

Yeah i started this thread because i was on the fence. And honestly, i thought i was one of the few who didn't use it. But seeing the responses here made me realize that maybe were not the minority? Either way, i have 30 team control on, but i only use it to make real life transactions. Anything else i generally let stay. However with 30 team control i do have the luxury of changing anything i want if i feel the need to. That being said i agree with the above poster. You don't see too much bizzare things in the off season. I ran a test and just simmed to the off season to see what it was like. Nothing too strange. Harper signed with the Dodgers, Goldschmidt went back to Arizona and I believe Machado ended up in pinstripes.

Yeah im glad I stumbled upon this thread. I do 30 team control too, so I may just roll with budgets off. The budget stuff is quite confusing IMO. Have you seen any weird traders with budgets off?

Not overly weird. I've seen trams swap 2 minor league outfielders. Doesn't really make a whole lot of sense but not weird per say. I will say ive seen a lot more trades and early trades this year

you can generate revenue by stealing bases & turning double plays by sponsorships. I think there may be a couple more ways also but I'm not positive.

So with them off, you can make the real deals made in mlb pretty easily. I've read it was near impossible at times with budgets on

                  Re: Budget vs. No budget

Quick question to see if anyone has done this. I do 30 team control and I use sponsorships for my controlled team (Padres) but if I were to also place those same sponsorships for the other 29 teams would that increase their revenue too? Like would it not count towards them because I'm already using those sponsorships?

I believe you have to manually add the sponsorships. I think I read, maybe from Armor, that the CPU doesn't assign them

Yeah I know that but if I assign my three sponsorships that I actually use to my cpu teams as well will the game let us all use those same sponsorships if I assign them to all the CPU teams?

The size of your bank before that does affect your cash flow for the off-season but it seems random or at least none of us have figured out the math yet.

I believe the more cash you have in the "bank" at the end of the season dictates how much your "budget" increases in the offseason/following season.

IE teams with a higher "bank" amount will get a bigger budget increase. Teams with lower "Bank" will have a smaller budget increase.....
