I remember us sitting at the kitchen table years ago, and one of us saying: "You know, it would be really cool to have a game like Strat-o-Matic in a video game, where the visuals are amazing and the stats play out like we'd hope. Like this board game on a TV."

So yeah, you can see why I'd laugh because for me, this game is gold and I LOVE it... But I also understand why some of you guys here don't. I get it...

Any of the legend zone players have more feedback on the patch? Still debating if I should download it as I’m enjoying 1.10.

I don’t see much difference in hitting on this patch versus 1.10, outside of the fact that squared up pitches are hit harder.

        Balance is still there

My first 2 games after the patch power surge went bye bye, which is good(I guess)

I’ve gone back to normal numbers which I’m thankful for. The beautiful randomness of this game.

I'm seeing way too much power in my franchise. It's only mid April and I have multiple guys (Harrison, Polanco, Bell and Dickerson) with 6+ homeruns while using the Pirates. And the majority of the CPU's runs are scored on homers, as well. I play every pitch and use adaptive progression that is in early HOF for both pitching and hitting. I haven't touched the hitting sliders except to lessen some of the human contact in the hopes of inducing more strikeouts, because I barely strike out unless it is looking and trying to work a walk.

Neither the CPU or myself walk much at all, either. I adjusted some of the control for both in the sliders, and it helped minimally. But even when I work a 3-0 count it seems that the AI will just somehow pound the strike zone and force me to eventually swing. And once again, I somehow work the most walks when my pitcher is batting.

I also cannot steal this year to save my life. The manual jump seems to be busted, but that isn't patch related. Marte is the only player in which I can swipe bags with.

Yes, and I have played about 5 games post patch and it is either the same or even greater.

I don't want to nerf the power too much because I need the extra base hits since I cannot steal or work walks right now.

I'm seeing the opposite. I'm seeing lots of line drives, but far fewer HR's. Balls that were easy HR's before the patch are just hard line drives now. Hanging changeups right down the middle turn into line drives that bounce in front of the outfielders. I wasn't having the issue with too many grounders that this was supposed to fix so I was a bit wary about what it was going to do and it seems like it brought the launch angle of all batted balls closer to line drive angles. The very top of the PCI is weird. Not broken necessarily, but something seems off. I can smash balls at the bottom of the PCI. But balls at the very top I often make just OK contact and they're nothing more than lazy fly balls. Sometimes 100 MPH lazy fly balls, but still not what I would expect.

Didn't have any issues with the previous patches having a negative effect on gameplay, but I have to say I'm disappointed with this one so far. Maybe I just need more time to tweak my sliders, but with 20 or so games played I'm not liking what I'm seeing so far. I was seeing much better hit variety pre-patch.

But I do agree with what you said about drawing walks. I can work myself into good counts (2-0, 3-1, 3-0) but it seems like the CPU is always able to channel their inner Greg Maddux and paint the edges a couple times to get it back to a 2 strike count. Frustrating.

I'm not noticing too much difference post-patch, which is good because I used he whole of Spring Training to modify my sliders to the point where I had the game the way I wanted it and wouldn't want it ruined. The speed with which the double play throw to first was making almost every attempt a formality made me knock back the infield throwing speed slider by 1 just to see what happens.

That said, Cody Bellinger has started the season on fire. Eight games in he has 6 HR's. I don't even want to think what he's on pace for right now but it would be nice to see the CPU have the logic to start pitching around him more. He sits right there in the cleanup spot so it's not like he's unlikely to be swinging. Dodgers are only 4-4 which is a tribute to the work I put in to get the sliders at a point where my games are fairly evenly balanced.

Played quite a few games since the new patch and I have to say power is greatly increased in my franchise. In my first series of my new season I'm playing the Rockies and I mean the amount of homers I'm giving out is outrageous. I mean through 3 games I've given up at least 8 or 9 home runs. And the thing is most of those homeruns have occurred with me through to the outside corners. I never really gave up that many homer pre patch but now it's like no matter where I pitch I risk the chance of giving up a homer. I want to blame it on playing in Colorodo because I'm hitting Homers on my end as well but man the amount of homers I'm giving up so far is frustrating.

Still seeing outfielders jogging to balls. Had a hard hit ball hit down the right field line with bases loaded and two outs. My outfielder proceeded to jog to it until he reached the warning track, and cost me a bases-clearing double.

I must say I don’t see this often, but that’s just infuriating...

Yep, I get that sometimes as well. Same situation - ball hit to the track/wall and settles down there and outfielder just casually jogs to it.

I use auto-fielding so no user error involved.

I use manual fielding, so I guess it’s the same regardless of which setting you use. I’m just surprise that would still be an issue considering the patch notes specifically talked about fixing it.

Did rocket bunts get a stealth fix? In my last few games, the ball doesn't seem to be flying off the bat as it had the past couple of years.
