Are you using SOTS? Still wouldn't make much sense if its in every stadium, but maybe it is a Jeer gone rogue? I have no idea. But would like to hear it if you can post a video. That would drive me crazy too i think.

CPU hitting HR's is often more of a side effect of bad pitching than it is about the CPU's hitting ability, so I'd ask whether or not you feel like you're able to to be too precise with your pitches (especially breaking balls as those are the ones that really get mashed when left over the plate)? If you're able to hit your spots an abnormally high percentage of the time and rarely make mistakes, that's another potential reason to either go up a difficulty level or mess with the sliders (User control would probably be best here). Plain and simple - if you're able to consistently hit corners with any pitcher, don't expect to see the CPU's slugging numbers where they should be.

At times on Legend it can feel like the CPU has an uncanny knack for hitting anything over the plate (which is kind of the opposite problem), but in that case, fear can be a good motivator - it forces me to aim off corners and, yes, even walk people. The first time I started consistently seeing swings and misses on pitches outside the zone on Legend, I knew it was the right difficulty for me.
      Thanks for the feedback.

I do leave a healthy amount of hangers over the plate. I use analog, but I'm not perfect with it by any means.

It's been awhile, but meter does produce much more realistic results from what I recall. Just wish the mechanic felt as rewarding as analog does for me.

I probably will go up to Legend eventually.

I found an example in this video here "Game 18 2018 MLB Season: Angels @ A's March 30, 2018" (new member so I can't share the exact link from YouTube). The kid yells 10 times in the first half inning! Check between 5:45 and 5:55 for a sound that will ruin your enjoyment of the game and cause suicidal thoughts...

Yeah, a lack of pop in the CPU's bat and the ability to locate too effectively (with meter) is what caused me to go up to Legend in the first place, so you might wind up there too if HOF still proves to be too easy. You will definitely feel the difference between HOF and Legend if you make that jump.

Are you on default Legend or sliders? Thanks again.

The one slider change I've been consistent with is fielder run speed down to 3 - it bumps the offense up a bit on both sides and creates more balls hit in the gaps on extra base hits. I know a lot of slider sets also put reaction down a few clicks but right now I feel like I'm seeing the right amount and I'd rather tweak as few things as possible.

For a while I used CPU contact down 2 clicks because I had a lot of trouble striking out the CPU on Legend, but at the moment I've gone back to default and I'm still able to get a decent number of them. I haven't actually put that into practice in a franchise yet, but I do play a lot of Diamond Dynasty vs the CPU on Legend (which is default sliders of course), and I'm seeing the right number of K's there.

I know Countryboy plays on all default Legend in his franchise, so if you're curious about how it is in that mode, ask him.

Strikeouts would be my one concern as well as sometimes I struggle to get them on HOF...but with that said, I did just rack up 15 with Lester.

Especially for pitchers with high K/9 and movement, which, IRL, would be good at getting whiffs in the zone, especially if you change speeds/locations.

Fear is good, but I still prefer it tempered with balance. After all, the hitter should fear my good pitcher making good pitches as well.

I hear it. I hope its not one of those things that you don't hear until its pointed out, then that is all you hear from then on lol. I couldn't hear it that well, so you are probably hearing it much louder.

I apologize for potentially ruining your fun. I play on a soundbar with the volume pretty high, so it is ear piercing for me unfortunately. Its gotten to the point where I haven't played today because of it...

I would say i would fear the big guys, in the meat of the order. These are the guys i try to get to chase the most. I respect the the above average guys, and i may situationally pitch around them too, depending on just how good they are, and game situation.
And i look forward to the part of the order where i can relax (sort of) a bit and really go after the average to below average guys. When the those guys are up, that is when i attack the zone and get those outs. I have some pitchers, especially my set up guys, that my fastball is my strikeout pitch, and im stlll surprised at how often they are swung and missed at, even out over the plate.

I seriously doubt that will happen. I have surround speakers that put me in the stadium. So even if its there, hopefully its drowned out by the crowd more.

You could turn the crowd sounds down a few notches, i suppose, if it bothers you that much, and turn some other sounds up.

I suppose I'll have to suck it up. I'll send a message to SDS to hopefully get the sound effect noticed, but I'm not optimistic. I really appreciate you verifying that I am not insane (yet).
