My wish list. Its really simple.

1. Put some time in to Franchise mode.
2. Find someone smart enough to implement Rotating Interleague schedules
3. Make injuries happen in played games
4. Put the "new options in MOM" For example there are no rain delays in MOM. There are no injuries on MOM. There are no challenges for replay in MOM.

Put some effort in to Franchise. Other then the stages, nothing was done. Its ridiculous that we are 10 plus years in to this franchise and no one at San Diego Sports Studios can figure out how to put rotating inter league schedules in.Hire the guy from All Star Baseball. He had new stadiums, league expansion, and rotating interleague, and that was 15 years ago

I get injuries in games. It's somewhat rare, but it has happened on multiple occasions.

Why are injuries off with roster control? Injuries are a part of the game and make you have to manage your squad, please don't limit my options.

Please please put some effort into franchise, I am NOT playing the card mode! Please increase rosters to 120 spots.

Please don't boost the AI running ability like you have this year. They can take a base on any ball in the dirt and steal perfect with guys with 40 ratings for speed. I've not throw out a single stealing AI in 100 games. The AI also has too many inch perfect throws.

Bunts happen, they are not always rocketed to infielders, I do not play online, why can't you have them for offline?

My 2019 ideas:

-Fully customizable schedules. Have set ground rules as a blue print but allow us to create the schedule we want, within those parameters.

-Customization of manager/coaches. Allow us to change name, age, looks of the coaches in the same fashion we can edit players. Also allow us to have managers/coaches to have a base set of traits (more on that in the next topic)


-Coaches/Managers have "traits"...similar to the player traits. Each trait affects players and has positive and negative effects. Example: Manager has drill sergeant trait. Positives are it will improve fundamental skills of all players but it may affect morale. "Players manager" will improve morale of the team but may hurt some of the fundamental skills. Each coach will have their own traits that will affect the team at their particular role. Now each trait has a bronze, silver, gold, and diamond level. The higher the level you are at with that trait, the more positive effects you have and less negative effect from the trait. This changes levels as you play.

-Add Bench coaches to the list. I think they would add something because maybe you want your manager to have the "manage the clubhouse" trait but your bench coach is more of the "in game" manager. That way you can get both these traits have a more well rounded coaching staff.

GMs and they also have traits. One of the traits could be that he's not afraid to trade off prospects. While another trait could be that he isn't going to go after high priced free agents (for the most part) and is building internally.

-Retired players can come back as coaches. Traits that they had in their playing days will carry over somewhat to their coaching. So if a guy was a really good hitter....good chance he's going to be a hitting coach (at least to start out)...or if a catcher is really good defender (and maybe add the trait of "game caller" and "pitching whisperer") he may turn out to be a pitching coach to start.

-Revamped or more in-depth budget system. The version we have now is basically "Here's your budget screen and cash flow! Have fun!" I mean, if you're gonna make it complicated and realistic, at least explain it. We're not all professional GM's and accountants.

-Get rid of the Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 contract system. Just do it by year date(2019, 2020, 2021)

-Owner mode, as much as I hate this mode in Madden, The Show 18 desperately needs it *cough* Rays *cough*.

- 40 man roster count shown on Roster screen. Why is this not already in?

-Ability to trade cash and draft picks. Again, why is this not already in?

-Full Franchise customization(games per season, playoff series length, editable team budgets, relocation, building stadiums, adding onto stadiums, switching divisions around, etc...)

-More realistic and better auto-generated draft pools

-Be able to start scouting in Spring Training

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you are looking for, this is already in the game when viewing the roster screen. If you look in the upper right hand corner where it has a breakdown of your roster, there is a line/row that shows players on the 40 man roster per level of the organization.

You may already know this, but standard draft picks cannot be traded in baseball. The only picks allowed to be traded are Competitive Balance Round Picks.

Draft picks are draft picks for me. Especially when I'm in need of a certain position. And I think I remember seeing that line but the 40 man is pretty important I think there needs to be a bigger counter that shows like 37/40

And I doubt an accountant would do it that way anyway.

They really need to show all the numbers they are putting into account. What money is being "held" for arbitration estimates and roster filling especially, and in the case of arbitration...who is consuming what amount of the held money.

And 100% agree with the "Year X" thing. Dates are simpler and straightforward.

Trading cash and picks would be nice options, but I doubt I'd have pick trading on if it was an option. I can't even imagine the trouble the AI would get itself into. Cash would at least have the budget to limit things.

they dont even have to revamp it, just revert it back to its former self of 3 or 4 years ago.
or at least maybe have an option to use New Budget or Classic Budget.

Season mode (bring it back), and create a stadium (Earl Weaver Baseball had this on pc in the late 1980s and we still can't get it today, I don't get it)!
