That's one thing I am doing for sure this year. Watching more games then playing. Last year I chose to try to get games in instead of watching games.

Nah, I'm buying no matter what. Already got it pre-ordered. I'm a sucker. They got me pretty much forever, lol.

Here we are on Feb 21, no real gameplay clips, only a handful of screenshots and essentially ZERO information on the game....I'm still buying. This time last year we had already seen 30 minutes of gameplay over 2 weeks earlier. I'm still buying.

I think it's to the point that they could just put out the game in a box with just a big QUESTION MARK on it as a cover and I'd still pre-order, lol.

I can't play and watch a game at the same time lol. I get to sunk in on one or the other. So I'll either miss what I'm watching, or totally blow the game I'm playing lol

Honestly, IF I decide to purchase this year (would be my first year skipping in 13 years) it will honestly probably be my last year with the show.

I am strictly offline franchise. With this possibly being the final year of OSFM I just don't think I could ever get the same enjoyment out of the game again. Rebuilds would basically be pointless and a waste of time which are my favorite thing to do in franchise. I discovered this sight in 2010 (longtime lurker, short time poster) and have been using those rosters since.

If SDS were to pick up the minor league license that would be a game changer though. I know it's a long shot but NHL has had the CHL license for almost a decade and really helps replay ability in franchise with 2 years worth of real draft picks available.

Hopefully with all the "face guys" that are still going to be around maybe someone picks up the OSFM mantle and runs with it, but what has really made these rosters special the last few years is the extensive scouting ridin has done and how true to life the prospects feel. So I am not really sure where the quality will be at tbh

I love baseball and The Show. I will purchase every year as long as Franchise is an option. Really hoping SDS will make franchise a priority for the 2020 release.

I love MLB.tv the best value of the four major sports with all the spring and regular season games plus the discount if you are a student or miltary MLB doing it right as apposed to the NFL.

No need to record the game because as long as it is not live, it can be replayed at anytime. Now as far as the commercials are concerned, you can fast forward through them and in the regular season it appears that all commercials are 90 seconds in length. It's pretty constant. But playoffs will be longer. Add another 60 or so seconds to the existing 90 seconds.

I am still undecided but leaning towards the no side currently. It all hinges on the RTTS stream, the Moments reveal and the March to October reveal.

I need some compelling offline gameplay options.

If they do swing me over and convince me to buy it then I can guarantee that I will buy the standard version. I have done Digital Deluxe the last few years and the incentive to get that version has died. Just not worth the money.

What would you be looking for with Digital Deluxe?

I am not sure, the player you got last year was completely underwhelming. Also, as a offline DD player the need for a jump start is not as important.

I decided I'd skip 19 because I heard April 1 they're gonna release MLB The Show 20. They're going back to being a year ahead title-wise, like Madden and NBA2K.
