My guess March to October mode is the rebirth of season mode but better

So many gamers gave SDS a lot of hate because they removed season mode in 18 and I am thinking they decided to bring it back but improved it some how.

If by improvement you mean they changed the name and give out DD rewards then sure.

I agree. Having it take over the Franchise stream seems like a terrible PR move. I mean last year was just talking about phases for 10 minutes and then the rest was gameplay and simming examples, but they still had a franchise dedicated stream gosh darn it.

in one of the gamestop Monday videos while "march to October" was highlighted and from what I remember it said something like "take control of your team during keys/important moments in the season to take your team to the playoffs.

it seems like its almost like a critical moments, but for key series for your team and the pennant rather than game to game.

and then I think "moments" is a gameplay mode where youre going to be able to replay or re-enact some of the most iconic moments in HOF players careers.
all of which probably earns you stubs and funnels you back into DD..

If it's a fun way to play with DD solo, I'm good with it.

I barely touched DD in 2018 because I don't want to play other players and what was left wasn't particularly interesting.

You earn stubs in every game mode. I earn them now while playing franchise mode.

When I first saw the title ‘March to October,’ I didn’t see it as the months March and October, I saw it as a game mode where u march, like an army, to the postseason, which is in October. I feel it more of playing down the stretch of the season and getting your team to the playoffs/ WS. Idk just what I originally thought of when I saw it.

I understand this. I’m a franchise guy. I’m just stating that it seems everything is gearing up towards this game being rebranded. Like in a few years it could literally be called “Diamond Dynasty 2020”



Its almost March and I know nothing about franchise, I’ve seen zero gameplay, but I know all the packs and stubs I’ll be getting etc.

Franchise will be discussed in a stream on March 7th. We know contract extensions have been added.

We know changes to gameplay as they were discussed in the previous stream.

And the game isn’t getting rebranded

If I were a betting man. It will be a one-play season mode with a DD aspect attached.

There has been a writer at OS on his twitter saying that there is a lot in store for offline/franchise players this year...seemingly that he has an inside scope. I'm not inclined to believe him.

Well from what people on OS say, community day doesn't exists anymore. And I don't find it likely that writers from OS are getting invited. I mean I guess it's possible. Just doesn't seem likely to me.

Whatever it is, even if it’s the biggest cool new mode ever a lot of people are going to be disappointed because...well it’s the internet and the OS forum [emoji12]

People remember the lefty bug in MVP04 I believe?
Lefties just couldn’t hit homeruns and it was the time where we didn’t have patches yet...the “good ‘ol days.”

Ok all jokes aside I also hope for a return of season mode in some sort of form.
