Re: Few rookies to be scanned for when they’re called up.
They said in the past they scanned during Spring Training, but didn’t use the scans until the game the next year. If they are using scans they are taking right now for this year’s game, it’s an improvement.Last edited by DanH35; 03-02-2019, 02:26 PM.Comment

Re: Few rookies to be scanned for when they’re called up.
Did the article specifically say Vlads scan would be used when he’s called up this year? I’m guessing the article meant for MLB 20.

The scans are always a year behind unless the tech they use has suddenly changed.MLB: Chicago Cubs
NFL: San Diego Chargers
NHL: Chicago Blackhawks
NBA: Chicago Bulls
NCAA: Iowa HawkeyesComment

Man, this would be huge if true. It always sucks waiting until next year for rookies to get into the game.Comment

Originally posted by jimmy13I don't think this means that Vlad jr. will be added to the game (scan) once called up, or any others for that matter. Despite the fact that they included ohtanis scan last year and then later in the year added Clay buccholz scan, though I remember sds saying that couldn't be done few years ago. I hope I'm wrong though.
there are other sports games that add and update scans after release, but for whatever reason can't be done most of the time with mlbts. I have wondered if maybe they refuse to add scans after players are called up so that players will definitely buy the following years release because there will be new scans, though that is just a small conspiracy theory on my part,
this would be awesome if they began to add scans through roster updates, but I don't see that happening. aside from all of this, I cannot wait for 3/26.Comment

Player with a scan in the game not just a scea created player.
Ply obtaini has ever had the special treatment of being a real player in the game without a mlb at batComment
