Did they fix the draft?

I created a 3B/LF utility guy and was drafted 15 round pick 23 to the Indians and the next day, created a left handed RF/LF who was drafted 16 round pick 12 to the Twins? No influence by me, no special picking. Just went to the draft. Both guys had A potential and 53 and 54 overall. HOF difficulty.

There has been quite a bit of talk about only being able to be drafted by the Orioles. I found this over in the show nation forums and wanted to share it, as it's a potential workaround. I'm not crazy about it....as it takes emphasis off of the showcase.... but it may get you randomly drafted. This was posted by Jgreene6142

My son was drafted by the Royals yesterday as he started his RTTS second basemen.

So you will be drafted by other teams.

Been seeing some report that they have. I haven't tried to start a new one since the first couple days I bought the game. I was unable to get drafted by anyone other than the Orioles. Going to try this for sure because I'm wanting to start one as an infielder.

I tried this with a SP, went into the draft, then with other saves went to college for first one year then four, and got TOR, STL, and CIN. I went with STL, because I wanted to be in the NL, and wanted a team that did not play my team (Twins) and whose affiliates did not play MIN's affiliates.

I tried this with a SP, went into the draft, then with other saves went to college for first one year then four, and got TOR, STL, and CIN. I went with STL, because I wanted to be in the NL, and wanted a team that did not play my team (Twins) and whose affiliates did not play MIN's affiliates.

I also tried this.... SS was drafted once by the Braves and once by the Seattle Mariners. I have not tried to just do a legit skills/showcase to see if has started giving random options. I have seen many reporting that they aren't having the same problem with only being drafted by the O's. I'm going to play the showcase normally today and see what results I get there. Working alot more than I'd like to be in full time job and side business. Need a vacation so I can enjoy this game.

I only have 1 save going right now.... I created a RF and chose the Braves. I played a full season, part of it in AA and part of it in AAA. I was invited to camp at the start of the following season and have been starting in RF since. I think this has more to do with who is in front of you.

I created a shortstop and was drafted by the Blue Jays. I'm in the middle of June and was unexpectedly traded to the Royals for starting pitcher Brad Keller. I'm hitting .307 with 14 home runs and 45 RBI in 244 at-bats.

Shame. Was looking forward to playing on the Blue Jays with Vlad and Bo Bichette. Not sure of my fit with the Royals either since they have Adalberto Mondesi locked in at shortstop. See what happens.

Played a little bit on the shortstop save that I started. Quick update... as it covers some of the things we've talked about here. I got moved to 3B mid to late May. I objected.....got benched for a couple games. Played there about 2 weeks and was moved back to SS. This same thing happened on my RF save when I got moved to 1B. If you object to the move with the team and your agent..... it's been my experience you get moved back to your position you chose. Curious now moving into June if I get traded...I'm playing well, still in AA - hitting around .360. Hope that I stay in AA/AAA as I've only leveled player up to mid 60's. My RF save was around an 80 when I went full time starting in the show. I created both my RF and SS characters with the Anomaly archetype and I've noticed a big difference between the power I hit for on the RF save vs. the power on the SS. Nowhere near the same power with the SS. Maybe just my plate approach. Pretty excited about playing at Seattle....hope I don't get traded.

On a side note....does anyone get annoyed as much as I do about all the rain games?? I complained about this a couple years back. If you start a series in game 1 and it's raining it will usually rain EVERY game of the series. Has anyone tried backing out/quitting out and loading back in to see if weather changes? I've even played in stadiums where closing dome should be an option and it's left open and raining. The amount of rain games in RTTS is ridiculous.

It's kinda funny actually because I after I got moved and started playing 3B I wouldn't have objected if I'd have known how much was going to enjoy it. I wouldn't mind playing there at all. Honestly..... wouldn't mind playing anywhere in a move other than 1B or catcher if it was a team need that helped. Just not fond of 1B and that was the position in previous saves I got moved to almost exclusively.

I created myself a third baseman under Anomaly. Got drafted by the Orioles in the 6th round and started at AA. Finished April with 16HR 33RBI 9SB. I got called up to the Orioles in early May. I finished the season with 24HR 78RBI 12SB. I lost the ROY to Vlad Jr in the AL. He had 28HR 90RBI 8SB.

Also I play every game.
