I carried over my save from '18 to '19 and the budgets didn't change, nor did the contract values. It was said by SDS that you would have to play through a whole season in '19 before the new real contract values take effect and that appears to be the case

Contract Extensions are only available in the Spring Training and Trade Deadline Prep phases of the season.

I'm hoping a roster update that drops tomorrow will update the audio database, because if not, no new names were added. I still don't have Bader, Judge, Ohtani, Bellinger, etc...audio names in my carryover franchise.

You still cannot create a true utility players. Primary and secondary positions in the edit player screen are the same as they were last year.

In franchise mode you are still not told what your overall budget is. Its still weekly cash flow.

I understand why they do weekly cash flow, but it would be nice if it also told you your overall budget. Was really hoping this was added with the feedback provided.

Oh well...another year of multiplying cash flow by 26 to get a rough estimate of total budget.

The player card screen is much easier to look at.

Trade screen has been changed, but the way it works hasn't.

Just a heads up that I uploaded the roster I was working on since friday. Only 60 of 2700 players weren't able to be uploaded. You are on your own for lineups and rotations. Sorry if there are any duplicates. I think i got them all but 2700 player transfers makes things a little hazy.

going to provide some positive feedback..
new crowd sounds fantastic, a huge upgrade IMO and sounds like a real mlb game. Sounds of the show are also sounding great.

my wishlist
- option to turn off stadium sound fx or lower their volume. The new unlockable sounds hopefully will offer "NO sound" as an option
- HR camera "off" option would be wonderful as the new presentation cameras have options why can this?
-CPU needs to be more dangerous with RISP in higher difficulties

I’m sorry but this is just plain disrespectful now. I legit hate madden. But as bad as madden is to me. Atleast EA attempts to add significant changes to the game. For starters that same original music is just disgusting now. Commentary 1st at bat .line I heard a million times smh. Sony y’all own a VR headset. At least give us a HR derby or something. Just go out the box with a feature. The pace that this game is making changes is disappointing. Hopefully all the lil tweaks I notice when I dive in makes up for this bad impression.

Wow, the fielding in this game is silky smooth. The first basemen receives the ball so naturally.

Early impressions...the show 19 is another good installment in the series. The on the field gameplay is sharp. Fielding has definitely been cleaned up for the better, and it's awesome to see how fluid and responsive the fielders play. Hitting feels good and they seemed to have remedied the issues with exit velocity and contact hitters. Pitch speed does feel slightly faster on legend especially on fastballs which feels great.

With that said, having played 18 all the way into January, the commentary is repetitive and almost feels untouched from 18. My hope is that once I start franchise, the addition of Heidi and specific commentary will help. Not noticing much in terms of visual upgrades, and side by side with 18 I would not be able to tell the difference.

I'm sure I'll enjoy 19 well into the summer because of how strong the gameplay remains, and my enthusiasm for baseball. But the feeling and excitement I got from previous versions playing that first game is no longer there. I couldnt help but feel that I was playing 18 all over again.

so am the only one that feels the frame rate has nosedived in the balanced mode as fly balls to the outfield has horrible stutter. this is with the game fully installed

even performance mode which looks horrible with the edge pixelations has stutters

Has anyone noticed the stutter/frame rate drop when the ball makes contact with the bat? Doesn't happen every time. But damn, it's annoying.

Also seeing some bad frame rate issues all around.

I absolutely love playing at Petco park and using the padres because the games new PA guy is our announcer and has everything down perfect. A lot of realism here for me this year

I'm also not liking so far these new first pitch camera angles. I can't see what my catcher is calling really
