If you separate the two of them, you'll get more prospects, but none will be as highly rated as this trio.

What contenders are in your franchise that have an opening at 1B? That could help determine possible returns.

    Indians Nationals Dodgers.

I was taking a hard look at the Yankees too. I would hate trading him there but if i could get the best deal from them I wouldn’t hesitate. I was thinking I could snag a top 50 prospect for Mancini alone but clearly the bias has taken over lol

Also possibly looking at moving Villar as well

Re: Villar, I think if you use the search button (up on the right of the page...easy to miss), you should be able to find a deal or two with him in it. There was a bunch of discussion earlier in the thread.

Indians might make some sense. Something like:

Tyler Freeman (#87 OA prospect right now-$20.2 mil)+Lotto ticket.

Rockies are not using Trevor Story at all in my franchise. What would it take to bring him to Philadelphia?

With the DH/Pitcher bug now gone I’m going to start a San Diego franchise. I love Trea Turner in the game and want to make a trade and have him play 2B.

What is a realistic deal that includes Luis Urias going to Washington?

Washington will accept the trade straight up but that doesn’t seem realistic.

Re: Official MLB 19 the Show Trade Discussion

So playing as my hometown Reds and wanna make some moves that are kinda selling but still wouldn’t mind trying to compete.

5 guys I really want to move on from though are:

            1) Raisel Iglesias (if I’m not gonna go for it all no point of having this dominant of a closer)

            2) Scooter Gennett (don’t plan on resigning as Senzel is 2B of future for me & wanna make room)

            3) Anthony DeSclafani (Overrated arm and been struggling pitching with him)

            4) Jonathan India (Senzel will be 2B in the future- trammell short so not really needing him)

            5) Matt Kemp (I assume releasing him is more realistic)

So what’s exactly their value & a fair return?

Also curious if how I could pull off DeShields, Mejia (SD), &/or Ray.

I had 3 of my starting pitchers go down with major injuries in my Franchise with the Dodgers. What's a fair deal to bring in Stroman?

Iglesias is worth $37.1 mil. Depends on what the market for relievers is like. Probably someone around top 50+a couple of guys on the outside.

                2) Scooter Gennett (don’t plan on resigning as Senzel is 2B of future for me & wanna make room)
Gennett is worth $20ish. Probably a low top 100+someone

                3) Anthony DeSclafani (Overrated arm and been struggling pitching with him)
Descalfini is worth just under $10. Two so-so prospects, none in top 100
                4) Jonathan India (Senzel will be 2B in the future- trammell short so not really needing him)
India is worth $24.1. Prospect for prospect trades are pretty rare, but you might be able to get a similarly rated pitcher.
                5) Matt Kemp (I assume releasing him is more realistic)
                Release him and eat it.

-DeShields is worth $28.2. Maybe India+a pitcher like Descalfini gets it done?
-Mejia ($37.6) seems like a tough one to get. Was just the face of the Hand trade.
-Robbie Ray ($27.8) could also make sense if you're intent on moving India. Add a none top 100 prospect.

Turner is worth $105 mil in surplus.

I don't see why the Nats would move him, but Turner for Urias ($65.6)+Patino ($32.2)+Morejon ($32.2) might cover it. Maybe switch one of Patino or Morejon with someone a bit closer like Baez though.

Honestly, you're going to have to significantly overpay just to get them to even consider a move.

He's worth about $100 mil in surplus value. I honestly don't see how the Phillies make this deal happen with their somewhat depleted prospect pool.

Stroman for May+Peters+Alvarez would be fairly similar to the Twins trade from earlier in the thread.

I would like to trade Cueto in my Giants franchise. Hope you can suggest me some options. After 5 starts he has an ERA of 5.88, doesn’t strike out anybody at all and gets loads of hits. I sent him down to AAA and gave his spot in the rotation to someone else. His contract is horrible also.

No one would realistically want him with those numbers. The only thing I can suggest is to swap him for Jacoby Ellsbury

Agreed. Either that, or release him. Ellsbury is pretty much done, unless you think you can squeeze him into that never ending rotation of "meh" outfielders in SF.

For me, it'd really depend on what the plan is with the rotation. As the SF roster is right now, there's not a ton of depth or high end pitching prospects there to fill the hole that Cueto will leave. He's probably more likely to put up a QS here and there, and eat some innings, which might be worth it for a bit.

Edit: This has got me thinking about the kind of prospect capital that it would require for a team to eat Cueto's salary. He's worth around -$19 mil. IMO, it's probably something like Marco Luciano+Gregory Santos, or Shaun Anderson+Luis Torribo. Might have to be even more than that though.

Are there any salary-cutting trades that anyone can think of that would be similar?

Last question if I were to fall out of the "race" and decide to sell what could Puig (though I do wanna resign him despite my struggles to hit with him) & Wood, what would they get me in return?

Sorry if these are repeat questions or there is an easier way to find the answers.

Happy to help! There is a "search this thread" function on the right hand side that can be helpful.

Puig is worth $16.3 mil. Depending on how he's playing, you could *possibly* get a low top 100 prospect+lotto ticket for him, but you're probably looking at something closer to an org top 10+org top 20 instead. Not a lot of contenders looking for an outfielder.

Wood is worth $6.6, but depending on how he's playing, could be a candidate for a bump as a rental starter at the deadline. Could probably haul back something like $15 mil. With Stroman and Bumgarner leading the flock as trade candidates, he'll be on the lower end of them. Maybe a low top 100+lotto ticket.

Hi guys. I'm doing pretty good in my Padres franchise with about 20 games played. I think my record is 16-2 or something like that but with that record comes some pretty bad batting averages from Hunter Renfore and Will Myers. I can't seem to hit with either and it's been that way for pretty much the last few MLB The Show's I've bought. So I'm thinking about sending both down to the minors. That said, I want to aquire CF Ender Incearte from The Braves as he's a bench player thus far in my franchise with Acuna mannning CF for them. What would it take from my Padres to get him? Thanks in advance.

Jays franchise and I’m looking for some Canadian content.

I’d like to add Tyler O’Neil from the Cardinals and or Mike Soroka from the Braves.

Vladdy Jr. , Biggio, Stroman and Gurriel are my untouchables.

                              Any possibilities?

Playing through Spring Training now, I'm going to be moving C Austin Romine and RHP Luis Cessa at the end of camp as they're not going to be making the team and don't have options. What are fair returns?

Also interested in acquiring a non-right handed hitting back-up catcher, was wondering what a fair return would be for Andrew Knapp (PHI). Thanks!
