Re: Official MLB 19 the Show Trade Discussion
If you have a time machine, you could go back and get Austin Meadows (And Glasnow for that matter...)?
If not, I guess it depends on how much of a rebuild you're looking to do?
If you're interested in selling off veteran guys that you currently have that have good trade value, they are:
-Marte ($50.5)
-Frazier ($60)
-Taillon (Roughly around $70, but that was with me assuming that he'd make $40ish mil his arb years, which make have been a bit high?)
-Vaquez, assuming his options are included/picked up ($55.3)
If you were looking at trading Chris Archer, you'd be taking a big L from the deadline trade last year.2025 Expos Expansion:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1295163793Comment

Not sure what mrtv4 needs but I think the Padres would be willing to move a CPL top young farm hands for one of them

What is the value on Josh Reddick? I hit very well with him and with Teoscar Hernandez struggling mightily, Reddick would be a worthwhile addition for the next 1.5 seasons and it would open a spot for Tucker in Houston.Comment

Alright guys I'm using the Padres and I'm looking for a #1 starter.. Kluber & Taillon are the 2 I look at the most what would I need to give to get either? Pirates are fading in the post season race but Indians are in 1st so idk if they would move Kluber until the offseason... Also open to other potential #1 starters!Comment

im not sure what type of rebuild im looking to do either i may wait closer to the deadline. i jsut threw a 1 hitter CG with tallion so im getting attached and marte is killing it.
im not sure how the franchise engine works. but am i more likely to get players when their teams are out of play contention etc. i have skimmed thru this whole thread and i keep seeing that mentioned.
i imagine with any of my pieces i wont be able to get any of the top 15 prospects while keeping tuckerComment

I assume we all (or the vast majority of us) play on 30 team control with force trades on.im not sure what type of rebuild im looking to do either i may wait closer to the deadline. i jsut threw a 1 hitter CG with tallion so im getting attached and marte is killing it.

If you're doing that, and are trying to be realistic, then trades are usually only approved here when there's an upgrade for a contending team (ie. Philly goes big and grabs a starter or upgrades their pen), or a trade that makes sense for both teams (A guy like Marte to the Yankees wouldn't make much sense since they've got Judge, Stanton and Hicks in the outfield already).
As for the games engine, it's pretty horrible. If it were good, this thread would probably wouldn't need to be a thing.2025 Expos Expansion:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1295163793Comment

Re: Official MLB 19 the Show Trade Discussion
2019 Season about to start month of June. Blue Jays are 10 games back in East, 6.5 in WC. Marcus Stroman was dealt in the off-season to San Diego for a package. Aaron Sanchez will be held on to until the deadline to build up value
Making some moves for them as I see them out of it and need to start playing the young guys.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Toronto receive 3 and Indians gets Pillar. Indians are 1 game back if WC. Depending how next two months go in Cleveland, Pillar could be flipped again.
Blue Jays: Eric Stamets, Rob Kaminsky, James Karinchack
Indians: Kevin Pillar
----------------------------------------------------------------
Toronto weighing options for Justin Smoak($12.5 value) with Washington and LA Dodgers
Nationals: Will Crowe, Israel Pindea
Dodgers: Yadier Alverez, Tony Gonsolin
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Toronto cuts list of 6 teams to 3 and looking at options from Atlanta, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh. Looking for MLB ready talent or group of prospects for Ken Giles ($6.9 value)
Braves: Kolby Allard, Wes Parsons
Reds: Mike Siani, James Marinan, Jacob Heatherly
Pirates: Kevin Kramer, Bryan Reynolds, Steven JenningsLast edited by Councilmann_Jamm; 05-10-2019, 10:50 PM.Comment

Re: Official MLB 19 the Show Trade Discussion
How realistic would it be to get Keston Hiura in return for Madison Bumgarner if he is pitching well? I could add Will Smith.
Also, who could I get for Brandon Belt?

Re: Official MLB 19 the Show Trade Discussion
I have a hard time believing that the Brewers would consider moving Hiura, given that he's their top prospect at a position that they are pretty shallow at.
Hiura is also valued (here) a tonne more than what less than a full year of MadBum is.
When it comes to getting back prospects for MadBum, my opinion is that the Yankees deal that we have in the spreadsheet is probably the best you're going to get:
Florial+Abreu+Schmidt.
Belt is worth $28.1 mil in surplus. He could net you a couple of good prospects, but there isn't a crazy market for first basemen.Last edited by kinsmen7; 05-11-2019, 10:17 AM.2025 Expos Expansion:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1295163793Comment

That’s definitely fair. How about if I wanted to make a trade with the Braves instead? Guys like Pache, Wright, Waters, etc interest me. They seem more likely than the Brewers since they have depth. Thoughts anyone?
Also, for Belt I was thinking maybe the Astros. Could they maybe give Derek Fisher or AJ Reed?

Re: Official MLB 19 the Show Trade Discussion
Looking at deals for Smoak still. Im sitting at May 16. I see his value to be 12.5 but he’s playing excellent with a .270/.355/.558 line with 13 HR and 20 RBI, so I figure I could bump his value a little. Looking at deals with Colorado or the Angels.
Colorado gets: Smoak, Axford
Toronto gets: Tapia.
OR Welker OR Castellani+Lavigne
LAA gets: Smoak
Toronto gets: Thiss + Jordyn Adams.
Not sure on value, or if I am taking to much back. Any input would be great!
