Re: Official MLB 19 the Show Trade Discussion

Playing as the Braves and looking for a front line starter. Newk and Teheran have struggled but I'm still leading the division and making a push. Looking to trade Inciarte, but he's struggled somewhat hitting about .270 with a couple home runs near the all star break. Camargo is hitting better so I'm planning on moving Acuna to CF and Camargo to LF.

Teams that are out of it are pretty much the ones expected in real life. Willing to include any prospects except for Soroka, Fried, Pache. Who would be at least a somewhat realistic target?

The white sox are terrible but that's their plan. They aren't going to give away 1 of Moncada or Anderson to go a long with Gilottio for anything. Those are cost controlled players to build around for years to come. This trade would be shot down in a heart beat.

Also I think you're too hung up on Kang being pieces in your deals. He isn't an add on for any deal. You probably best trading him to a team for a top 25-30 prospect in their farm. He has no value to him as a trade chip

EXACTLY! Giolito, Anderson Moncada = staying put.........Jung Ho Kang is NOT a wanted commodity.....he is overrated on the game and he has had too many personal issues for the Sox (or any other team) to give up top prospects for him .....

Kris Bryant to Philly. Cubs are out of it. Phils are in a fight with Atlanta for the division lead. What would it take? I dont think Bryant realistically ends up resigning there in Chicago

Whats your problem with it? We can talk about Indians trading Lindor, but cant talk about the Cubs trading Bryant? Lol

You can discuss it but I just don't see it, that's all.....others can discuss it further but I don't think I will...

FYSA, the Indians and Cubs financials going forward are in two different stratospheres

Of the two I would prefer Stroman. Definitely a better track record. So, other than Inciarte what would be a good package? Stroman isn't pitching as well in the game as he is in real life but I'd understand the Jays still asking a high price.

Would Inciarte, Riley, and someone like Gohara/Allard get it done? Too much or not enough you think?

Just because you cant see it, doesn't mean it couldnt happen. No one is untouchable. Or at least shouldnt be. I can see it happening if they think he wont resign. And with the bad contracts on the books for Chicago, albeit they have a bankroll, every team wants to cut payroll at some point

Kris Bryant will not leave Chicago, IMO. And definitely not trade him to the Phillies for a few prospects just because it helps you in the game. This is my opinion and it doeant matter for the purpose of this discussion. Just trying to inject an opinion with some realism attached to it.

Realism? Anything can happen irl. Who seen Miami trading Stanton for a bucket of balls and some gum? Everyone was saying it would cost Torres and Florial to start. Goldy getting traded? Mismi dismantled their team AFTER winning the WS... twice. Stuff happens. Angels should've traded Trout beforw they extended him. Nats shouldve traded Bryce knowing he wasnt coming back. And FWIW, im not the Phils. So it doesn't benefit me in anyway in my game

Bryant to Phillies could happen. But Phillies don't have the minor league+ big league ammo to get him honestly

But if we were gonna take a chance

                            Rhys Hoskins
                            Nick Williams
                            Scott Kingery
                            Nick Pivetta
                            Alec Brohm
                            Adonis Medina / Spencer Howard

                            I still don't even think that's enough.

The teams really don't match up. Hoskins is 1B only but he's the best young controllable player

Agreed, it definitely could be a Bryant destination, and it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility, but I also agree that they don't really have the prospects to make it happen. Just don't think they have a prospect with a high enough value to get the convo started.

Bryant is valued at just under $60 mil here, which is really affected by his down season last year. If the Cubbies were interested in moving him, you'd have to think they'd be asking for the moon ($100+). Medina and Bohm are good prospects, but you'd have to think they be asking for an MLB top 25 guy .

FWIW, If the Braves are in it, and it's made clear that Bryant is available, I could see them going after him to keep him from the Phils. It's definitely an Anthopolus type trade (At least when he was with the Jays...).

Again, the Cubs would have to be out of it, and if they were, they'd still probably be looking at moving other, older guys first, especially since Bryant is under team control until 2022. Think guys like Zobrist, Decalso, Quintana, Hamels, ETC, so that they could take the extra cash and do a quick flip to try to contend in 2020 again.

End of the day, it's not out of the realm of possibilities, but unless Bryant says "Hey, I'm not signing here!", they likely don't consider moving him.
