25 year old Soto's two homeruns, Reds 9th inning implosion sends Mets to World Series.

The Mets came back from a 3-1 Championship Series deficit to shock the Cincinnati Reds and their home crowd in game seven. Juan Soto a TWENTY-FIVE year old hit two solo shots, one in the 7th and a second in the top of the 9th.

The 7th inning homer was the first score for either team in a very well pitched game. The second came in the 9th inning and was the definition of a wall scraper as the announcers initially got it wrong saying he just missed another home run.

The Reds did score a single run in the 8th which briefly tied the game.

In the 9th, Soto hit his second homer and the Reds pitcher walked two batters then fell behind 2-0 on the next before he was intentionally walked following a wild pitcher that sent the other runners to second and third. Afterwards, a couple of hits led to two more New York runs. In the bottom of the inning, Zach Wheeler would enter for the Mets and shut the door on the Reds.

The World Series will start on October 24th as the Mets try to complete their Cinderella story in a seven game series with the power house that is the White Sox who are seeking their third straight World Series victory.

2024 Chicago White Sox World Series Game 1

      Final Score:
      White Sox-3
      Mets-0

      White Sox lead series 1-0

Sox blank Mets to take game one

Michael Kopech started off a bit slowly allowing two hits and throwing twenty-four pitches in the first inning. After that however, he would get things together and hold the Mets scoreless through seven innings. His final line was 7 innings pitched 6 hits allowed, 7 strikeouts and no walks.

Ted Lake would pitch a solid 8th inning while Ronny Spence would close out the game in the 9th inning.

Offense was a bit hard to come by for both teams but Johnny Shinjo, Milo Griffins and Chris Davis would each hit solo homeruns to give the White Sox the 3-0 game one victory.

Sitting at 16-7 with the Padres. Second best record in the league only behind the Dodgers grr. Anyways, just had a rough game where I lost Fernando Tatis Jr and Brian Dozier within innings of each other. Both heading to the IL. Going to have to survive this stretch. Had to call up Gordon Beckham and Jake Cronenworth.

Re: MLB The Show 19 Franchise Discussion Thread

Well...it's been a hell of a ride, but unfortunately after 8 seasons with my carryover franchise, I am going to restart in '20.

With the addition of real contract values last year, it caused a few issues within my carryover with teams getting bad contracts they cannot get out from under and I cannot do enough to help remedy the issue.

I found a trick that works, but I completely forgot to apply it before starting this offseason and it has caused minor chaos with really good players, more than normal, being left in free agency as the offseason comes to a close.

Extremely disappointed, but I look forward I guess to the new challenge of making the Cardinals contenders again this year while preparing for the future that will see the likes of Molina, Wainwright, and Carpenter retire.

Thankfully with real minor leaguers out of the gate, I won't have to add them myself like I did when I first started back in '16. So thank you to Ridin, Showtyme, and the entire crew for making this possible, as well as SDS for finally reaching out and making it happen.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Bummer, CB. Enjoyed following your story along the way - even as a Pirates fan. However, considering how old your original file is, a fresh start might mean a better experience for you in some ways. Either way, you had one helluva run!

              Thanks man.

I got really "attached" to my team. But as I said, I look forward to a new chapter with my Cardinals and seeing if we can't maintain a team that is constantly playing October baseball.

Man, I'm going to miss this version of your Cardinals franchise, CB. You inspired me to really take advantage of the carryover saves and I'm in Year 4 of a Mets franchise because of it, so thank you for that.

Looking forward to seeing how your new Cardinals franchise progresses this year. I already know you're going to play at least a full season more than me, try as I might to keep up.

I really don’t want to give it up but I don’t know that I can get over the “issue” that I have. I fired it up tonight and continued to reload saves and try to fix the issue but doing that really feels cheap as then the signings and trades that occurred are being undone and the franchise loses that organic feeling.

I’m going to continue to work with this until the game drops next Friday and see if I can make it work but I’m starting to really lose hope.

It’s extremely frustrating but I don’t know that I can get past my personal hangup

Sucks to have to end a franchise you’ve put so much time into for that reason but you got good length out of it, 8 seasons worth of played games is probably much deeper then most people get into a single franchise without simming. Excited to see where you can take the current Cardinals squad and hey, you finally get to use Goldschmidt now.

I’m 99% sure I’ll be starting fresh as well. Going back on my goal yet again of finally carrying over and getting deeper into a franchise like you have. Think I need to start something fresh and pick more of a fun challenge instead of my already built up powerhouse Yankees to hopefully stick with as a carryover.

2024 Chicago White Sox World Series Game 2 and 3

                      Final Score Game 2:
                      White Sox-6
                      Mets-5

                      White Sox lead series 2-0

                      Griffiths pushing for WS MVP

Milo Griffiths had a world series game to remember as he went 4-4 with a home run and a double. The homer was his second in as many games in this years world series.

The game looked like it would be an easy win for the White Sox as five runs were scored in the first two innings. However, The Mets would have a four run inning of their own in the top of the 5th inning and David Dahl would tie it up in the top of the 8th with a solo jack.

Griffiths would answer back in the bottom of the inning with a homer which would put the Sox up 6-5. The 9th inning would see Ronny Spence come in and get three straight outs to send the Sox to New York with a 2-0 series lead

                      Final Score Game 3:
                      Mets-2
                      White Sox-1

                      White Sox lead series 2-1

Mets rally behind Syndergaard and hometown fans to take game 3

Noah Syndergaard had a nearly flawless performance in game three. His only blemish was a solo homerun by Luis Roberts which briefly gave the Sox the lead in the top of the 5th inning.

Carlos Martinez would also pitch a very good game. He allowed only four hits in seven innings of work. However, his only blemish was a two run blast by Blake Swihart in the bottom half of the same inning.

Neither team would score the rest of the game as the Mets ended the first game in New York with a victory.

The teams will be back in action tomorrow as the Sox look to move closer to their three peat while the Mets try to even the series.

2024 Chicago White Sox World Series Game 4

                        Final Score Game 4:
                        Mets-5
                        White Sox-1

                        Series Tied 2-2

Mets even series in dominate win

The Mets have evened the 2024 world series at two games a piece as the away teams are now 0-4. David Dahl hit two home runs while the White Sox struggled to get any offense going. The White Sox starter, Hans Crouse also struggled as he allowed twelve hits and five runs in just five innings of work.

Tomorrows game will see which team takes the series lead back to Chicago.

hey guys, long time lurker here! i just wanted to ask a question regarding a overall calculator that was posted i think 3 years ago. Is there a updated version or any other place i can find something like this. I can post a link to it if no one knows what im talking about.

Im just guessing people just change the position in the roster screen and see what the overall changes to instead of using something like this.

I think I’m going to actually keep it going as the thought of starting over is so frustrating.

That means having to redo the offseason so I can fix the issue but I’m going to do it.

I hate it but I’d rather do this than start over

I think I’m going to actually keep it going as the thought of starting over is so frustrating.

That means having to redo the offseason so I can fix the issue but I’m going to do it. I hate it but I’d rather do this than start over
yeah, I hate seeing players bunched out of the league that wouldn't be IRL because of budget issues but my franchise is in an alternate MLB multiverse and I just let the budgets ride, let the chips fall where they may.
it does produce some headscratchers for sure but at the end of 9, for me personally, it's more about the play between the chalk-lines and less about the administrative side, though all of the front offices in my franchise have wreaked havoc and let the dogs of war slip loose definitely adversely affect the play on the field. but as consolation, I figure IRL players feel the same way about IRL front offices lol,

I've only gotten 6 seasons into my franchise but come hell or high water, I am bound to see this franchise through until I switch to the PS5.
