I'll be doing more tests when I'm able.

You nailed it. I read your earlier post and hoped you were wrong. But you absolutely nailed it. Those 2 - 3 frames with a 95 mph fastball... critical.

I couldn't play 18 on standard and went with faster.

With 19 I am able to play on standard. Faster is smoother in 18 than it is in 19 but standard is smoother in 19 than it is in 18.

      Odd.

Either way, i'm not running into anything resembling an issue with the framerate so far.

So you’re telling us that your game doesn’t lock up or slow down when the ball is in play?

not sure what there is to patch, I have yet to see one single stutter or frame drop since playing from release day, some are and some aren't, not sure what they would patch if its not wide spread.

It offers the same experience gameplay wise as 18?

No I have a pro also. Not sure how you can’t be seeing any sort of hiccup or stutter when the ball is being put in play. Not that I don’t believe you but maybe you aren’t sensitive to it? Not sure....

I’m telling you all, there’s something more at play here. It shouldn’t matter what you play on for frame rate issues to be there, but it does.

Playing a game in Fenway at this very moment. Partly cloudy, 7pm May game. No hiccups, stutters, issues whatsoever on this stupid little Vizio that is old. Played at Fenway at dusk on my new Samsung 4K and it was a mess, before I moved.

All on the same PS4 pro. I didn’t even change any settings when I hooked it up to the Vizio. Just plugged it in and played. Both times connected to the internet.

I want this to be fixed, too. When we get into our house I’ll have the 65” back on the wall and I want to game on that. 18 worked fine on it and so do all of my other Xbox one and PS4 games. But I promise you that switching to this 37” several years old Vizio has smoothed out this game tenfold for me. And if I had never played on anything else I also wouldn’t believe people were having issues.

The tv you play on has 0 to do with the frame rate. It's a hardware limitation and/or poor game optimization. Plain and simple.

I understand this, and I’m a video director for major sports organizations. But I’m also telling you that it has made all of the difference when switching displays with all of the other specs staying the same. So there has to be something going on here that isn’t obvious framerate drops due to the game only.
