this is another reason the designated hitter is an abomination unto baseball lol the chickens come home to roost . I sure hope Shohei is an inspiration to a new generation of pitchers to strive to be more complete baseball players . if not , maybe in the future DH's can stand behind the mound and be the pitchers Designated Fielder too . OK , I'll get off my soapbox now lol

Unfortunately, the NL will be going to the DH sometime in the next few years.

Can confirm this issue isn't just tied to the Full Minors set. It's tied to all rosters. I tried some classic sets, Bacon's Fictional Set, Full Minors, and my own Fictional set and the issue happens within each roster. Definitely a glitch or bad implementation of 2-way players. Almost all of the pitchers DHing have no hitting abilities.

EDIT: Also, it isn't tied to Franchise either this is also an issue in play now as well (Exhibition).

Yet another thing to add to my list of franchise bugs I’m waiting for a fix on prior to purchasing. It pains me to say it but by the looks of it I may not be purchasing at all this year.

Yet another thing to add to my list of franchise bugs I’m waiting for a fix on prior to purchasing. It pains me to say it but by the looks of it I may not be purchasing at all this year.

Honestly, I wish I would've been more mature and done my research before forking over the $60. It's pretty clear SDS is all about that Diamond Dynasty, a mode I have 0 interest in. Unless a miracle happens, this is it for me. I'm forcing myself to play through this game's problems since I already bought it. I wish I was in your shoes, you can still get away.


Edit: seriously, what patch is going to fix everything we complain about? We're almost into May already.

Unless a miracle happens, this is it for me. I'm forcing myself to play through this game's problems since I already bought it. I wish I was in your shoes, you can still get away.

Reading about this glitch is pretty depressing, I haven't started a franchise yet because I was waiting on the full minors V2 rosters. But if this glitch is as bad as it sounds I may need to wait until it is fixed. This sucks because I really enjoy the on field gameplay this year and have been itching to start up a franchise because that's mainly what I play. I almost held off on buying 19 because I enjoyed 18 enough that I could of kept playing that but then I kept reading about how nice the tweaks to the on field gameplay was and decided to buy it.

Hey fellas, sorry to hear about this glitch. I can try to get it to the right people for a fix or explanation im hoping its not by design.

So I manage 30 teams and setup real life lineups using mlb press lineups, I do the exact match-ups and lineups so its not an issue for me.

I can see this is a real headache if u control 1 team or u do your own baseball world.

Has anyone went in and set rotations and lineups for all the other teams and still get a pitcher as the DH?

I regret buying this year already just for this issue alone. I wish to hell I could get a refund and just stay with 18.

FYI for those who are using this as justification for not buying the game or delaying their franchise until it gets addressed, it is NOT a universal bug.

I’ve gone through about seven years over two franchises and have never seen a pitcher in the DH spot for my team or any other team, in played games or simmed.

A post on the front page of this thread called this “near game breaking.” That’s just a tad dramatic.

I could be wrong but doesnt going to quick manage and sim the game that way keep the lineups how they should be. Might be a work around

Do I want this fixed, yes. But in franchise, this bug is a minor inconvenience at worst. You fix your lineup in the pregame screen and you take 30 seconds to switch to the cpu team to fix theirs.
