Yes prior to starting franchise but you cannot turn it back on when/if bug is fixed unless you start over

Re: Pitchers as DH in franchise?? Why
"Lazily implemented". This is the part that pisses me off so much. For a company that has been so loved and extended so much grace by the players of this franchise to be so lazy just disappoints me to no end. I haven't played a game of 19 since April 1st or so when Dillon Gee was hitting clean up for my ALCS opponent and I really have no desire to anymore. Have barely touched 18 since about the same date.Comment

Re: Pitchers as DH in franchise?? Why
Maybe lazy was harsh. I dont think the devs are lazy. They clearly work hard to give us the best game they can. But the implementation of this feature is so obviously half-baked. My guess is that franchise is on the back-burner every cycle. So this was done by dedicating the absolute bare minimum of time to it. Had they committed more time, there is no doubt they could have created a much better system. But that would mean less time working on other modes. Honestly, if they were not willing or able to put the time in to create a completed two way player feature, they should have just left things as they were and worked to implement the new feature in The Show 20.
I believe they've stated in the past there is exactly ONE guy devoted to franchise mode. I'm certain he's not lazy. Overworked, yes, but lazy? No.Comment

No matter,
This bug has to be fixed. IMO they may just remove the two way player feature altogether.
I mean it is one freaking player in the MLB that we need this for? Not worth the headache is has caused on this years game.
Simply dumb to keep it for a guy not even pitching this year.

Re: Pitchers as DH in franchise?? Why
I've been sitting on MLBTS until I hit max burnout on M19. Is this bug still an issue or has it been remedied already?
If it's still an issue, is there even a rough ETA on the fix?
I won't play this game until this problem is solved and am wondering if those who follow things closely over here have any idea about timelines.Comment

No hard date given - but the updates have been pretty frequent in the first couple months and we had the last patch 1.10 about a week and a half ago.Comment

Awesome, thanks, guys!
I've not been following closely, so this helps immensely. I'm sure in the next week or two we'll have something.Comment

Re: Pitchers as DH in franchise?? Why
The EASY solution to this is that, AS IN REAL MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL GAMES, every player should be available to play any position at any time.
Position players are brought in to pitch, pitchers bat, the Tampa Bay Rays ROUTINELY take a pitcher, put him at another position, bring in a reliever, and then put the previous pitcher BACK ON THE MOUND.
I don't see any reason why MLB The Show should be so restrictive as to prevent us from doing things that happen on a daily basis in REAL MLB.
Bottom line, when I start a game, when I pick my pitchers and do my lineups...ALL 25 MEN SHOULD BE AN OPTION. If not, it's unrealistic.Comment
