I don't buy the financial suicide thing. With all the money they rake in on micro-transactions, etc. Have you seen what these game companies make off their games because of the micro-transactions? They can easily do 2 year cycles. Those micro transactions will continue for 2 years.

Tell me about it. It's too bad these console only games haven't developed PC versions. PC's are much better and when given a choice between a certain game on console or PC, I choose PC every time.Comment

And it doesn't matter as it is a moot point. Having the MLB License means they are required to release a new game every year.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

My expectations are ZERO for the first 3 years. You won't see any major improvements until they discontinue the PS4 version. They won't make the two versions different, they never do.Comment

I will be very surprised if it’s not in at launch or first game after launch

Sports games are rarely as feature rich as the generation before in its initial release. The first show on PS4 looked great but I remember being devastated that SOTS was not present.
In all fairness though I think we are set up for the smoothest transition as I don’t think console generations are going to be anywhere near the massive leaps in technology they were back then.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Re: PS5 Expectations
This by no means should be taken that they are actively working on it, or that its a guarantee that it's going to be incorporated into the game. Again, just my personal opinion.

If you give me upgraded visuals with cloth physics in the first version I’ll buy. My bar is that low.

Re: PS5 Expectations
On the contrary, I would be more worried about losing things on the leap. You look at Madden, and to this day it's a shell of what it was in PS2, feature-wise. A transition to a new console seems about the last time you'd be expecting any new features. At least there seems to be opinion that the leap to PS5 may not be such a tough one. Hope so. Regardless, that first game is probably going to be more a question of what we lose rather than what we gain. Going off history.Comment
