I guess on the bright side 30 team control can fix the issue if you’re a franchise player. If you’re a RTTS player it really sucks.

Jumping the gun a bit, but if they do plan on incorporating March to October to franchise next year.....does 30 team control go away? Curious about this.

30 team control doesn't fix it... Only way to work around it is using 2 controllers to control both teams to set lineups when going into a game or switching teams and making substitution if you only have one controller...

The fix is fleeing to the NL once your player has free agent eligibility.

LOL fair point. Or I guess turning off the DH making pitchers hit in both leagues if you’re a franchise player..

Just like baseball is supposed to be. Nine positions. Nine spots in the lineup. That’s not a coincidence.

The patch I’m really hoping for is the one that fixes the MLB glitch that allows pinch hitters to remain in the lineup for the entire game.

The lack of communication on this DH bug is frustrating. No question. I do believe it will still be fixed.

But how can anyone be surprised that offline franchise players are on the lowest priority? Come on guys. I won't let that get me worked up into a fit of rage or get me so pissed off.

I am probably hexing myself but in all my franchises it has not shown up. Crazy. And I think that is what is delaying the fix. Finding and zeroing in on the exact cause. That is why I just want them to delete the code that allows two way players.

It is for one freaking player!!!!! And all the crying about being able to use Ohtani as a two way player by members on this board has led to this ugly bug.

All for one freaking player.

Sony is working on a fix, I know that for a fact... so be patient as for it not affecting your franchise thats great but it is affecting lots of others so the theory about people asking for it for one player isnt the point. The point is 2 way players are becoming a standard in the game so they have to be incorporated in some way. They are working on it so lets hope they can find a fix and a way to make everyone happy. Roster editors would love a way to make it editable so that has been brought up. I would guess we will all get a fix soon that will make us happy.

There's another patch in the works (patch 1.12)

I wonder if it will be released as quickly as 1.10 was after 1.09? I really would like to see the spring training substitution problem fixed without doing any workarounds.

I doubt it releases that fast.

Has anyone played ST since this patch to see if the substitution issue has been resolved, but not mentioned?

I'm reaching my breaking point with this game honestly. Here it is, entering June and there are numerous issues preventing anyone from playing a functional franchise without performing so many workarounds that I need a list. I don't want to feel like I'm working when playing this game, and that's exactly what it feels like. I just wish for once, they'd take their attention away from DD and spend some time correcting legacy issues that have been present for YEARS, not just franchise mode, but throughout the entire game. Sorry, rant over.

No worries, I'm pretty certain the DH issue and sub selection, for computer controlled teams in Spring Training will all be added as a 'New Feature', for Franchise come 2020. In the mean time, keep saving your $60 dollars for the next year of, usual bugs, frustrations and DD improvements, or save your dollar and put it, to some better use........ for a change .

I've said it many times... I wish Sony would release 2 versions of this game (franchise version and diamond dynasty/road to the show version). I think things would go a lot smoother as far as designing the game, patches, updates, etc.

Ridin.....chillax. That was my point. That maybe that is why it is taking so long because they are trying to find what is causing it and pin pointing it. I know how many people are having this issue. But a few us do not...why? I don't know and maybe SDS is having issues too pin pointing it down. And I do know it is being worked on.

As for the new standard......there is one true 2 way player that is well known in MLB right now.

My other point was if they are having such a tough time fixing it.....take it out for 19 and work on a solid code for 20. Why have all this BS for one two way player?

I can almost assure you 99% of us would not miss having the ability to bat and pitch with Ohtani on 19.

I think we've been spoiled to think that, for years, the Show revolved around this site, devs coming here, chatting with us, etc. I don't think they are going to mention things they "can't fix" in notes as we aren't their sole audience. We expect to be coddled a bit. Not working that way. Not defending them, just trying to give a reason why things that "can't be fixed" aren't outlined in patch notes.

What about those people that want to play all the modes? They have to buy the two different versions of the game?

And you know what...there will still be bugs and the modes will still essentially have the same content because resources (time and manpower) are still what they are.

But, honestly, don't we go thru this every year it's released. There's always something, always. Seems each years release mirrors the year before. If we "expect" the game to work properly, but every year it's the same thing, shouldn't the buyer beware?
