1.12 update on the Live stream - Spring training substitution and DH bug fixed (Ramone said the latter one was a "doozy" to fix, btw).

Yes, they said that before, for 1.10. It obviously got pushed back. My advice would be to wait and see that it's actually out before getting too excited. Seeing it in patch notes would be a pretty good indicator too.

No date given. But there's been an interesting coincidence(?) with the last two patches - they came out the morning after a live stream. Will it happen again? Who knows.

To be exact, Ramone stated the DH bug as "User-created players in custom rosters will no longer appear incorrectly as two-way players", then identified it as being what we called the DH bug.

But none of my players are user created... My roster was a SDS roster when I started.

I would assume any of the minor league guys in the SDS rosters would fall under user created.

Well, that's really great to know that there's a fix coming in 1.12. Assuming it happens this time. I've just been switching my AAA pitcher around in the rotation to trick the game into thinking he's pitching the next game to avoid him getting placed at DH or RF. At this point, I've given up on the other 87 teams out there. There's just not much I could do and it's not worth the constant effort. So I have no idea how common it is but I'm sure it's happening. Eager to see this patch hopefully sometime next week.

I would assume any of the minor league guys in the SDS rosters would fall under user created.

I've seen the bug effect Zach Greinke, Lance Lynn, and other real life pitchers.

I'm hoping "user generated" means "players created before 2019", but you can see why I find their language worrying.

You must play the game year round if you've waited this far into the season to begin your franchise.

Do you actually play out the entire spring training?

This is basically the only game I play so year round, yes. No, I don't play ST games. 162 in regular season is enough for me, can't throw another 40 or so on top of that lol

I usually wait until now to start a franchise as well since it typically takes until now to get the bugs worked out. I also don't play many other games throughout the course of the year so it's easy to focus most of my attention on The Show. It's still the best sports game out there despite some of the things others will say.

Sony is working on a fix, I know that for a fact...

I don't care anymore. As one person said above, this is no longer a Day 1 pickup but I'll go one further: I'm not buying anymore. Franchise is the ugly, redheaded stepchild of this company/brand/game and I'm not part of it any longer. I haven't played 19 since the last week of March when the glitch showed up in a playoff game as Dillon Gee batted cleanup for my ALCS opponent. I paid $90 CDN for a game I've got single digit hours into 10 weeks later.

F*** off, SDS. You're dead to me, Fredo.

Maybe I don't have a wide enough selection of yearly games....but not sure what you are going to migrate to that is much different. I can't remember the last game I purchased that was day 1 ready and without need of patches/adjustments.

Ok. I play RDR2 95% of the time right now but I have about 3 or 4 other games I play regularly so I tend to play The Show franchise in as fast a way as possible in MoM. Just not enough hours in a day. I think they should make days 48 hours long.

I'm not restarting a season but when I finish my Orioles 2019 season, I'll start a fresh Mariners 2019 season and I will be eager to see how spring training goes

That's not the point. The point is that it's a gamebreaking bug that's been documented as being almost constantly presented and, after what's now version 1.11, totally unaddressed. This company/studio has been given enough grace for their inattention (at best) and ignorance (at worst) of franchise mode for the past.... three? four? ... years. Enough of paying for the development of DD, I'm done with new purchases from SDS.
