Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!
That’s why I take vacation every year the week of release
Sent from my iPhone using Operation SportsI can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!
It can be interesting to see a first baseman have good hands and vacuum up all short-hops.
No so interesting when half the throws are in the dirt.
Little leaguers don't throw it in the dirt anywhere near that often.

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!
I just fired up the game for the first time in several months, and I immediately was reminded of all the reasons I’d stopped playing.
My wish for 2020 is for someone with SDS to ensure franchise mode works as well in season 10 or season 20 as it does in season 1.
Which IMO comes down to three things.
1. Prospect generation: There are too many cookie-cutter prospects (oh look, yet another 5-8 CF who can’t hit but is a good fielder with elite speed), too many “top” prospects with overall ratings so low they’re useless until they’re nearly 30, too many guys drafted at 24 years old, and in general just little thought seemingly put into the draft.
2. Player progression: Players take too long to get to the majors, and they often start declining too soon. Yet there is still a glut of players in the 80s overall. When there are two dozen guys sitting in free agency to start the season who would’ve been starters on half the teams on opening day in year one, something isn’t working. Player progression needs to allow all-stars to have extended peaks, C potential utility guys to have a role on some teams, top prospects to crack lineups before they’re mid-20s, etc. There’s far too little roster diversity because progression is messed up.
3. Team budgets: In part this is probably a problem because progression is messed up and teams pay too much for what should be mediocre players, but budgets as a whole are messed up, and teams are terrible with managing their money. On the rare occasion where I find a trade that makes sense for me and another team, odds are they can’t make it work anyway because they have no money. There are workarounds for this … if you set your franchise to multi-team control or ignore budgets to start off. But if you get far enough in that you don’t want to restart and realize you should’ve used different settings to help with roster workarounds earlier, too bad.
I imagine little will change with franchise mode until the PS5 comes out, but none of these things seem that difficult to me. Especially the first two. Things don’t need a dramatic rewriting of the code. Just tweak a few things, and long-term franchise playability improves a ton.Comment

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!
1. Stop having every CPU pitcher have the ability to masterfully control 4 pitch types. This is simply not realistic and yet in every iteration of this game, the CPU can throw any pitch, anywhere, any count with precision, even on the lowest of difficulties. Doesn't matter if its Verlander/Kershaw, or joe blow AAA pitcher with a 5.00 era
At the very least there should be a scouting report so you can see what the pitcher's tendencies are... Fine, include a changeup in Aroldis Chapman's arsenal, but let the hitter who's walking up know that he only throws it 2% of the time.Comment

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!
Please fix OVERHAUL, outfield/infield convergence plays when there is a pop-up/fly out that is between two players. I want to see guys calling for the ball and proper movement by each player causing near-collisions like in real life. This is MUCH NEEDEDComment

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!
SDS will have to make some changes to franchise mode with the new rules (26 man roster, 28 man roster in September, Trade Deadline, etc).
Hopefully this will convince them to make some additions once they have already opened the hood and started making changes.

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!
Player and coach etc models are terrible. They are stiff and have no flexibility. They should bend over. Close and open their hands etc. Their hands are stiff and flat. All batters have the same waste to neck. When at the plate they all look square.
Players and managers need to age. Gray hair etc.
Stop getting rid of players from your created roster as soon as the season starts. The CPU optional waivers a ton of players. I create legend team. 10 year contract for them. Yet the CPU gets rid of a ton when spring training is over and you start the season. Says teams have 2 days to pick up the players or theyll be put in AAA. This happens for 10 and more players.
Bring in kingdome. Astro stadium. Old Detroit.
Bring in hank aaron..
Mickey mantle.
Joe DiMaggio.
Roger Maris.
Etc.
Babe ruth should be position player.
Get rid of all cut scenes and give us new ones. Same ones from 7 years ago sucks.
Have quick counts be able to be on by default for all games.
Real rain. Changes how the ball goes and so forth.Comment

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!
1. In franchise mode when you do a fantasy draft can you make it so there’s a logic so a team isn’t going to draft 15 second baseman by only draft one first baseman happens all the time I’m sick and tired of it
2. Road to the show I hate it when I load it up with a custom roster when the best prospects are gone but yet it keeps guys with D potential who and will never do anything but get rid of guys with A potential’s
