First of all let me state that I’m 50 years young and strictly play offline.
It means I’m a dying breed, but I’m aware of it so at least no longer in denial.
I’m not the one they have in mind when developing their game, but here we go anyway.

- More true to life adds / addboards in the stadiums. Make fake one’s that look like real brands (I know not easy due to licenses / copyright). At least make them in the colors of the real ones
- Better frame rate….please. It become worse going from ’18 to ’19 so please improve
- More classic stadiums, so much better for the immersion when playing with classic rosters
- Easier / better roster creation. I’m not a creator myself but am following the thread and read that SDS do not make it easy.
- More stadium sounds / music. It was a good improvement already this year, please keep adding to it. I know there is Sounds of the Show, but some more organ music in the stadiums would be great
- Remove or improve Heidi…..please!
- More classic jerseys
- Keep improving on commentary
- More cams. I liked the medium fielding cam from ’18 which was removed for ’19.
- Being able to change the name and face of the manager when playing with classic rosters
- More exterior shots from the ballparks. In general more shots between innings. This was already improved in ’19 but more can be done
- Same for “emotion” scenes, keep adding to them…and please only trigger them at appropriate moments. Now sometimes a single is hit in the 2nd inning, and the player reacts as if he just hit a walkoff, and sometimes it’s the other way round.
- More emotion during playoffs. Again it’s improved in ’19 but there’s work to do here
- Bring back season mode for those who want it. I was angry at first but now I just play 1 season of franchise. I don’t mind playing all the games or simming some of them.
- More equipment brands
- Editable score bugs. Would be great if we could create a custom logo, this way we could create the old broadcast companies when playing with classic rosters
- Keep improving the gameplay…which they already do year by year
- Being able to get ejected from the game. MVP 05 had some kind of meter that you could fill which was great as it allowed you to scream at the ump 😊

I can probably think of a lot more, but that’s it for now.

Ditto all of the above..I too am 50 plus years old and appreciate all gameplay people use MLB the Show for. I use game more for the baseball experience play cpu vs cpu and create teams players ect. Franchise will be important to me also
As far as gameplay the cpu baserunning this year was horrible in that runners did not attempt to stretch singles in to doubles ect..I’m hoping baserunning intelligence overall will be fixed or improved..
Other than that just hoping for Franchise improvement..

They need to add a start today feature like what nba2k and madden have...baseball having a 162 game season this is a must have...but sadly looking at what they have done with franchise the last 4 or 5 years they probably won’t add this or anything to franchise mode

I would love to option to start your Franchise in the offseason instead of spring training opening day. Giving you the ability to go after free agents/makes trades etc. It would make your team feel more authentic as if you were the newly hired GM.

MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!

Roll back all graphics until the game runs smooth in all stadiums. I get horrible slow down where I some times miss an entire pitch. If you can't make it smooth allow us to turn off the crowd or things we don't need so it will run smooth. This game looks so great when it is smooth. That should be the top priority. I often times have to look away when the camera is moving outside of at bats because the screen is starting and stopping over and over again like it is hanging up.


The other pet peeve I have is the banners scrolling vertically in behind the batter during pitches. That should stop when I am pitching. I have to pick different views in some stadiums because I can't see the pitching meter clearly enough.

The PS4 Pro runs the game great for me. When I played a game at a friends house recently on a normal ps4 I noticed it runs pretty bad on that machine. Keep in mind from the moment the Pro was announced developers basically started making games to peak on the pro but also had to make it possible to run (acceptable) on a regular ps4.

Probably not what you wanna hear but it is what it is and I don’t think 20 will be any different.

I am playing on a Pro. I had hoped that would fix it. It does the slow down on both randomly. I was really hoping it was a diamond dynasty thing. I am playing RTTS and it happens. Literally the only game I play that it does this and I play a ton of games.

Franchise: Revamp of the amateur draft cycle. Scouting grades are fine as they are but it'd be nice if they were more conservative which would add a bit of a risk/reward feel to it. Itd be nice to have reports on obvious "blue chippers" for the draft. These blue chippers would probably have the highest/favorable scouting reports but maybe have a greater chance of their potential dropping drasticalky if they struggle after a couple of seasons. Think of guys like Donovan Tate, Danny Hultzen, etc.

All players scouted should be available in the draft, but maybe add a likelihood of them signing with the team, with that percentage dropping the further down a high school prospect falls in the draft.

Franchise: Trade negotiations. Would be nice to receive counter offers.

Gameplay: Less home runs, more extra base hits. Also I want to feel like I'm risking a lot pitching against guys like Mike Trout and Cody Bellinger with runners on. The only game to capture this that I played was ASB 2003. I want to have that feeling that I should consider walking the hitter with runners on vice giving up that 3-run shot.

Also Gameplay: Teams need to start giving players the Barry Bonds treatment if they're absolutely mashing during the season. Many times teams are content with pitching to guys hitting well above .300 and leading the world in home runs and RBIs.

RTTS: All equipment available from the start. Get rid of equipment bonuses.

Give us the ability to edit player numbers at least.

Ability to request position changes.

All training choices available. If I want to train baserunning for a season please give me the option to.

Better logic. If my player is capable of playing 3B, LF, and RF and my primary position is RF and the team happens to have a higher rated RF but the 3B or LF is a low rated journeyman, I should be starting over those players vice being a super utility player limited to pinch hitting duties. It really ruins the experience when you're called up for your first season and you miss you first game/call up animation because of that.

Baseball Almanac:

More history and records for each team and overall. Maybe a top 10.

Games of note. Make the seasons feel more alive by letting us view a log that shows X pitcher had a no-hitter on this date or this batter hit 4 home runs on this date.

All Hall of Fame inductees, if you don't have them, then just put the position they omayed primarily. We have all these historic players but HOF entries are empty. Why?

Please keep teammate interactions, batting stance editor, splitting up motions based on era.

Most importantly: Keep up the good work.

It would be great if for all players who have been inducted in the Hall of Fame to have their first and last name voice files in the game. Please add those voice files which are missing.

Keep real players who are in the game in the game. For example Neil Ramirez (a 60s rated pitcher) just signed a minor league deal with the Angels. Even if he’s not on the 40 man roster, include him in the release day roster (and marginal players like him who may be in the minors.). This means a lot for carry over franchises.

Makes it awful hard to see depending on what is behind it!

When Playing RTTS
1) After the 2nd showcase game allow us to save before the phone call pre-draft.
2) During said call post prospect showcase games, if we say we have a team we want to play for, it'd be nice if we could go back to the first option of "doesn't matter"/"pick a team" instead of "AL or NL (and being forced to pick one anyhow)" if we didnt want to do that.

Two small things but both impact the enjoyment of the very beginning of RTTS mode, and I'm surprised the second one was even an issue.

1) Fielders cam. I have been wishing for a fielders cam option since ASB 2005. Come on Sony, give us the darn option.

2) Create a stadium. Let us build and import our own stadiums....please!
