It would be icing on the cake as far as my list goes. The main items on my wish list in order are...

    1. Custom draft classes that you can download from the vault. Set it up similar to what you see on NBA 2k. Expand the number of teams and minor league depth charts in A ball to be able to handle all these players.
    2. Have a manager/coach carousel where every manager and coach can be customized by name and in appearance. Make it where teams can hire managers hired and fired by other teams and promote from within.
    3. Have rotating interleague schedules. If nothing else use schedules from years past in a rotating basis.
    4. Eliminate extra innings during spring training games. If a game is still tied at the end of 9 innings, it doesn't count in the standings but all the stats do.
    5. Make the crowd even more lively. Make their reaction deafening during huge plays especially in October. Have lots and lots of boos when the other team's manager is out arguing with the umpire, etc. Make the atmosphere dead with teams having horrible years and low attendance and wild with teams who keep winning and have increased attendance.
    6. Continue to add even more animations. There are a ton in the game now, but keep adding them.
    7. Instead of relying on sound of the show, SDS should add in a lot of sound effects out of the box that wouldn't be a copyright issue (Tomahawk chop, sirens, planes, drums in Oakland, cash register ring up for strikeouts, etc). Rely on sounds of the show to create walk-up music as well as dead Pac-Man and other sounds for strikeouts.

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!

I'd like to see them add a feature from MVP. Not an MVP fanboy, but, BUT, this thing was overlooked and was so simple and so elegant.

At the pitchers release point, there'd be a quick half second flash of the ball. Designated colors would help you out with "Reading" pitches. Red was a fastball, Purple was a slider, Blue was a change up etc... If never tipped location, but allowed the hitter to see the seams as if you were actually in the batters box. It was a fantastic innovation in MVP, and am shocked nobody else has give it a shot.

I doubt that is proprietary, if it is, then I could understand. But that was one of the best features I've ever seen in a baseball game. I used to buy MLB 2kX, and MVP... Usually preferred 2k to MVP. But MVP 2005 (I think) was the game that had the quick light flash.

It really made you feel like you were in the box, and you, not some animation was facing the guy on the mound. If you blinked, you missed it. It wasn't a long flash, maybe 1/3 or 1/2 a second at the point of release.

I'd love to see SDS bring that back, maybe even improving on a 14 yr old mechanic. Lol... That's what I'd love to see in next year's game.... Maybe being able to bring custom rosters into March to October too... But the release point flash is the thing I want most.

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!

For me, I'd love to see:

              - Increased roster size considering all the hard work guys do with the rosters every year. It would give them more options.
              - Overhaul scouting. Scouting and player development is such a huge thing in baseball compared to any other sport. There should be a focus on that in the game.
              - Different animations for players especially running.
              - As lame as it is, 'the opener'

              - Two way players are starting to become a trend as well. That should be in the game next year.
              - Utility position eligible. Why is this not a thing? Or just the ability to pick any position combination a player could play at. Or just have it where a player has to play so many innings to be eligible at a position?
              - Contracts sometimes aren't realistic. For instance, I resigned Gerrit Cole to a 5 year, 120M deal. That's not a bad contract but I feel as if he is due to get way more.

              - Player progression/regression. Just because a player is 34 doesn't mean he should start the year at 74 and drop to a 63 during the season. Justin Verlander shouldn't go from a 92 to a 78 in one season. That's just crazy. Players take massive jumps down but barely jump up.

              - Be able to import players during the season for any team that way people don't have to keep restarting their franchise.
              - Trade logic. I know this is tough every year.
              - Calling players up. I shouldn't see a 18 year old just drafted starting in the majors the following year. That's just... no please. It goes back to the development I was talking about. Maybe a player needs to have so many MILB at-bats before getting called up, same thing with innings pitched.

Expand equipment- cleats haven’t been so good this year, also add a high top, mid, low option.

Updated or changed player models. New body types
Ability to edit player height weight and body type as well as ability to edit players hair/facial hair.- I know the argument used against this, but it’s been done in other games.

Restore “mlb Live” as it was in ‘14
You could edit equipment/windups/ stances and you could even edit appearance of players that didn’t have scans or even upload players in place of sds players if you wanted to create them yourself. “Live rosters” is essentially pointless and stats and other infor is often incorrect.

Create a player on par with most other sports Games, particularly nba 2k. You can create much more realistic looking players, new hair/facial hair options

Add reds mid 90s unis Abd early 2000’s unis
Add Mets Black unis, brewers gold

                More exaggerated shifts

                Axe bats....
Never thought of that, but the ability to edit the umpires with their real names and tendencies would be cool. Great idea.

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!

I'm sure these have already been mentioned, but better CPU roster management. And the ability, like 2K has, to approve/reject CPU-CPU trades. As it is now, I can check the acquisitions log before clicking Advance Day and reload of something wonky happens, but it'd be easier to just give me commissioner abilities.

Some examples of better management. On MLB 18, the Yankees kept trading for backup catchers. They made three trades before I started blocking them. They're starting to do the same in my franchise on 19 now.

Teams should also be required to carry at least two catchers. The Astros traded Chirinos in my franchise. They didn't call anybody up to replace him. So Stassi has been holding down the fort for three weeks. They just now acquired Hedges from the Padres. Good. But now the Padres are going with just one catcher.

The Mariners traded a B-level generated CF prospect to the Red Sox for a B-level generated 1B prospect. No problem. The next day they flipped the 1B prospect to the Indians for a C-level CF prospect. Makes no sense.

And yeah, I know, 30-team control. But you shouldn't have to do that to avoid some of the head-scratching decisions the CPU makes.

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!

My wish list generally pertains to franchise mode as that's all I play, but they don't necessarily need to be exclusive to it.(also avoiding "improve this" or "fix that" and focusing more on things that aren't currently in game)

1- Non roster invitees: Would be great to bring in some vets or cast offs to take a chance on in spring training.

2-Rehab assignments: Would be pretty cool to send a guy working his way back from injury to AAA for a few games(maybe 3 max). Could be an optional feature as well(as in you don't have to send them if you don't feel the need)

3- Rain outs/double headers: Rain delays were a really cool addition. Would love to see them take the next step and add full on cancelled games leading to double headers. This could also lead to the addition of the 26th man.

4- Brawls and suspensions: Obviously I understand why MLB wouldn't want a feature like that in the game. However, it is part of baseball and IMO should have some sort of representation in the game. We don't need to see the whole thing or even any of it. You can just show maybe benches clearing, guys arguing, etc and then just cut to a screen telling you who was ejected and whatnot. After the game you can find out whos suspended and for how long.

5- Real coaches and players coming back to coach: They don't need to include every manager and coach ever, but perhaps those that were under contract within the past 2 or 3 years. And having one of your guys retire, but bringing him back as your manager or a coach would be pretty sweet.

6- Opt outs/ no trade clauses: Signing a guy to a minor league deal but him having say a June 1st opt out would put some pressure on you as to what to do as the date gets closer. The no trade clause would be tough, and would most likely need to be full and not partial. But maybe your the Blue Jays and you have a canadian fella on your team, and he wants to stay close to home so he rejects a trade offer. Or perhaps your in 1st place but just don't have any plans for him but he doesn't want to go to a lesser team. Again, generic but cool IMO.

7-International signing period: Obviously with generic guys. It can be just a short 3 day thing. I'm sure it would be a touch tricky to add international bonus pool money, so it could just be treated like free agency.

8- Player interactions: I guess this could be considered improving upon something, and it's more for those that don't always check morale. But getting an e-mail or a pop up or something with it saying to the effect "so and so isn't happy about not starting" or "this guy isn't happy here and would like to be traded" would be neat little things.

9- In-game coach suggestions: Another one that is kind of a tweak but also an addition. Pre game when setting your line up you get coach pop ups(this guy has been red hot, maybe you should move him up in the line up, or this guys hasn't played in a while etc), why not in game as well? When going to the bull pen or pinch hitting, why not something like "this guys been lights out against lefties this year, maybe you should get him up" or "this guys has been hitting .450 off the bench, maybe you should go with him".

10- Relocation/expansion: Relocation is fairly self explanatory. But I think an expansion draft would be a cool feature. There would obviously need to be 2 teams to keep things even. Perhaps each team drafts 2 players each from the other teams so you loose 4 guys and really have to decide who to make available. Id say this could only happen once during your franchise, and maybe you can even dictate when. Also you could have the choice of being one of the expansion teams!
                      Let's Go Mets!!!

Re: MLB 20 The Show Wishlist!

The game needs a mlb simulation <———-> arcade slider for hitting where you can tune in your ratio of hitting attribute influence verse actual input influence. For example at default it could be 50%/50% and raising and lowering the slider increases or lowers the other variable.

I feel hitting has regressed the more they have tried to encompass both ends of the hitting ability spectrum (the weaker player at one end the stronger player at the other). The range is too far the balance properly.

Only thing I want....and have wanted for years….and every year disappointed to not see it.

Everything else pales in comparison. The online aspect of the Show sucks and is stale.

It's crazy how 12-13 years about multiplayer online baseball was a thing but in the year 2019 we can't implement it and its nowhere to be found???

We need a World of Chel esque mode. Where you take your RTTS player and you compete vs other RTTS players. Like a 5v5 or 6v6. Have elagues and just drop in games. Stats.....leaderborards. Like the old UBO baseball. I've been dying for something like this for ever a decade. The most fun I have ever had in gaming was playing mmo baseball.

This better be a thing on the PS5....there is no fing reason why it shouldn't. At the very least bring back Online Franchise.

I just wish they would give me the option to review all of the accepted trades around the league before they actually happen (like 2K does on My League).

That would cut down on the awful trades without having to go through the hassle of 30 team control.

Provide that with improved team and player AI in free agency and I would be perfectly happy with Franchise mode.

It was said once before here, but for me, the only thing I really want is an expansion draft in franchise mode. After playing with expansion teams in 2K and in NHL, I find it hard to start a franchise now if I'm not an expansion team. I like the challenge of taking the "cast-offs", so to speak, of other teams and start building the team my way.
Not sure how they would implement it since they would have to determine the rules for the expansion draft and everything, but I would love this.
