I'm willing to bet mlb had Alot to do with this. Probably forced Sonys hand to keep agreement. They have wanted a game on all systems.

Rumors are starting to come out that this indeed was the case. Combination of MLB wanting as many people as possible to get their hands on the game and the possibility of EA wanting back in.

Why would mlb force a partner who were the only company willing to purchase the license a non exclusive license say don't do this or no agreement? MLB was releasing RBI on all platforms, it just wasn't making money. This is more than likely mlb also covering dev cost.

If this comes to PC I cant imagine myself buying a new console. If Spiderman comes to PC too, that will no doubt be the case.

This isn’t just good for The Show’s future but good for baseball. The Show on more consoles will attract a younger audience to watch actual baseball in addition to playing The Show.

OMG now I can actually enjoy the game because it has been awful for 2 years with the fps drops

So in 2021 I get to play it at 4k native max settings 144hz

That doesn't make sense. There is no exclusivity whatsoever. EA could have purchased the license and began making a multi plat like madden or live. Again MLB was making a multi plat that wasn't selling. This is not a force issue, this is a growth issue shared by both parties.

High quality games are so expensive and time consuming to produce these days, this sort makes sense, as unusual as it is. MLB must have made it worth Sony’s while, looking for further exposure of its product that is MLB. They certainly could have done worse than The Show when looking for that further exposure.

PC with an unlocked framerate and mod support is my absolute dream.

99.9 percent Xbox gamer except I bought a PS4 for The Show. I'm glad I did not just for that game but it introduced me to some other exclusive games on PS4 that I ended up liking.

But 2021 - new consoles will be out. I'm not going to drop $500/$600 on a new console in 2021 so do we know the game will still be coming out for PS4/XBOX ONE fully supported???

Also is it an exclusive lic w/ SDS? or can EA get back into a MLB game?
