I wonder about the stream dates in March, 3/4 is a Wednesday, 3/7 is a Saturday and 3/11 is Wednesday again... Streams have always been on Thursdays.

Re: MLB The Show 20 Developer Livestream Schedule Revealed

What is everyone's thoughts/ideas on what news will be released on March to October?

If this is the mode they are transitioning franchise toward I'm hoping there are some nuggets for franchise players in there.

During the last stream they talked about the new trade hub. Some things I took away from that are:
          1. Live player portraits for the trade screen.
          2. An untouchable list for trade block.

I expect MTO to utilize minor leagues. They want to saturate the minor league players in all modes so I anticipate them being in MTO this year.

I'm hoping for injuries and player movement and more trades.

Hoping for multiple seasons and/or ability to jump into regular franchise. Although multiple seasons would be nice, I do not think I would play if there was no way to jump into a regular franchise mode experience.

I anticipate some form of offseason.

I'm hoping that in the process they have adjusted payrolls, player salaries and trade logic and that the logic travels to franchise.

Mills isn't a big DD guy. More Franchise & RttS (starting this year).

The new promo video says call ups for MTO. It needs injuries to be viable.

Where’s the video? The one I saw on Twitter was really quick.

That's the video. If you look when they highlight the mode it says minor league call-ups on the panel.

My big wish for this mode is that they let us decide how much we want to play verse sim. I felt very disengaged with the mode just watching things get simmed and getting pissed off at the huge losing streaks because I did not happen to meet a challenge.

Yes. And more roster control as well.

My main hope is that they separate it from DD so it's not so handcuffed. It was pretty much useless for getting a reward in DD anyway as you could much, much easier just exchange about 10k worth of cards to get the same reward as completing it on the hardest difficulty, so restricting the mode's customizability was a huge waste.

Custom rosters, custom sliders, customize how frequently you play, ability to actually save the game so you aren't playing a 6 hour long pass/fail mission etc etc. All not allowed as they'd make it more manipulatable for easier DD rewards, but all would make the mode much better.

This is what confuses me about the mode. We were told this is the future of "franchise." This is what people want. I am sure the telemetry data will show it was rarely used.

It was essentially a DD type mode in a franchise skin.

Any franchise type mode needs to have injuries or the option to have them. That is what makes baseball great, having depth and working through injuries.

I feel like MTO was just critical situations with a story mode to tie it together. Personally I’d much rather play a fully fleshed out franchise mode.

Extremely well said. I agree with this all 100%. I like the premise of MtO, but it's time to cut the cord and let it stand on its own. At the very least...have the option available to disable rewards and allow people to edit sliders, rosters, and other key parameters. My wheelhouse is playing franchise-type modes but I've greatly enjoyed DD the last two years as well. But when I play franchise-type modes, I want to play franchise-type modes in an unencumbered fashion.

Here's the flip side (for me at least), when I want to play DD, I want to play DD (i.e. with MY team that I put together....not playing some other mode using teams/situations that have nothing to do with my DD team). DD for MLB18 did this the right way...last year was abysmal with both MtO and Moments taking away from the whole point of the mode. You want to give people the ability to earn stubs, XP, etc. while playing other modes? I'm all over that. But for crying out loud....keep the modes separated!
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

Just seen the new video on twitter and unfortunately it looks like it's still the same, tethered to DD for rewards with no extra options. Start up screen looks pretty much identical. Hopefully there is more than meets the eye, but not particularly expecting much
