1. Skin tone is correct
2. Has a goatee
I say this to say, if they went all out and got the minor league players in, they did not just import generic player models. They might not have face scans, but they at least tried to create their likeness, so it seems. As someone who usually waits for the OSFM Rosters, this would be huge.
I only care that the high profile, close to MLB ready talent, look close to 100% accurate. However, if even lower level players are in the game, out of the box, and their likeness is more or less accurate, I am okay with that, considering someone will put up a more accurate version of them on the vault anyway when/if they make it to MLB.
So if at the very least we have right skin tone, body type, and facial hair....this would be more than anyone would have even asked for, let alone expected.Last edited by El_MaYiMbE; 01-23-2020, 02:42 PM.Comment

This would be a huge game changer!!!! With Ridin not guaranteed to make a roster this year I was actually considering skipping and sticking with 19. If they have real minor league rosters this will be a day one must buy once again.
EA NHL series has real prospects from the Canadian and most of the European leagues, and it really goes a long way for immersion. I have been souring on the show as of late because of the lack of improvements to franchise, but this would really boost their stock for meComment

"Kyle Blake" would have to be a fictional player. I mean, those are RTTS challenges on that screen, so that suggests to me that it's a user character right there.
Just a guess.Comment

Kyle Blake is an SDS Dev, so yes we assume this is his RTTS character facing a real minor leaguer.Comment

I am hoping if the minor league players are "real" that their appearance is still customizable, provided that they do not have face scans. Today real MLB players with or without face scans cannot have their appearance changed.Comment

Worth mentioning as it relates to Jimenez, since he's something of a special case as a Rule 5:
It would still be unprecedented to have a player like that in the game at launch, AFAIK. Even though he's Rule 5 and is pretty much a lock for the 25-man, his service time clock has not yet started, and won't until opening day. That's always been the rule - they can't be in the game if they have no service time - in other words, haven't played a regular season game. We saw it with Pete Alonso and Vlad Jr. among others last year - they weren't playable at launch and were added later along with their audio after they played an MLB game. (though Vlad's case is a little different since he didn't get called up until late April).
THAT'S why this is so interesting - it just hasn't happened before.Comment

Jimenez was chosen in the Rule 5 draft this past december so he has to be on the mlb roster all yr this yr so that means Jimenez was in the minors all yr last yr and wasnt recalled to majors. So there is another clue to real minor league players in game hopefully.Comment

What I think is most exciting about this is the impact it would have on carry over rosters or if you were deep into your franchise. I always struggled getting into a carry over franchise because I couldn’t handle using a CAP for a guy like Vladdy jr when I know there is a face scan version available if I just start my franchise over. This way everyone will be able to be updated by SCEA as they get face scans and we won’t have to start over to enjoy them.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

If this is indeed true I would quit my job and play this game for a livingComment

I believe full minors means real minor league players, instead of fictional, rather then more roster slots. The prior contract I understand forbid using the real names of players not in the MLBPA. However, under the new contract this may now be allowed.
I hope this also includes the addition of missing name voice files.
