I don't want to read too much into it, but I'd like to believe realignment is part of it, but it doesn't actually say that either. Then again, you can only put so much info in a small bullet point, right?

Just wish there was some clarity on if this is true (realignment). Would be an instant purchase or me.
Upon further review you may be right. I saw "custom leagues" in the headline for the 2/27 stream but reading further it says "simple and flexible leagues with your friends".

That is for online. Will we get custom leagues for offline? It would make sense because they are allowing for relocation but it could be for only online franchise.

Good question. I'm wondering if relocation and expanded minor leagues applies to carry over franchise.

I'd hate to have to toss my carry over franchise but I if I have to I will for the relocation. Already have my logo created.

My guess is that it’s only user controlled teams meaning if you are doing 30 team control you can essentially relocate all 30 teams

I remember when Tiburon said they couldn’t put the Pro Boel in Madden because of the number of different helmet designs that the consoles couldn’t handle. Until it mattered to them and suddenly they could.

I suspect the same could be said for rotating schedules.

no doubt. short of timetraveling, anything is possible, depending on allocation of resources. rotating schedules just have never been a high priority for the Studio

Remember when SDS said they will be able to have each player wear their own uniform in the All-Star Game when the Playstation 4 is released?

They tried but it severely decreased the FPS so they scrapped it

It's a function of two things.

                    1. Available RAM. Textures take up significant space in RAM. Once you use up all the RAM, performance takes a nosedive.

                    2. File structure. File structure impacts how much RAM textures can take up when loaded. File structure has in the past been used as I've of the reasons why true to life all-star game uniforms cannot be used. Changing the file structure would require revamping the game engine. Not likely to happen, and if it did it would be a massive undertaking, which means not much else would happen in that 1 year development cycle.

Is it possible the PS5 will have the RAM to load all of the all star uniforms at once? I have no idea. It's it likely in my opinion? No. The PS5 isn't going to be the monster gaming machine some people are hyping it up to be. Consoles are always a compromise in order to be affordable.

And yet a game as ancient as High Heat 2002 allowed several options each off season. Interleague on or off, balanced or "unbalanced" schedule, swapping teams between leagues or divisions, as long as the right number of teams stayed in each division, and even a choice to go back to a two division per league system. Pretty remarkable.

Also had players learning positions in the minors and a better progression system.

Loved the trade option to ask what would take to get trade done.

Its sad that a game from 2000 had a more robust progression system.

Until the Show came along with manage mode I was still playing high heat 2002. Franchise is much deeper in the Show but HH did have some interesting aspects.

There was a camera setting which allowed you to watch an entire game from anywhere in the stadium.

It took about 3 seasons if I remember correctly to fully train a player at a new position. The downside was you could train Prince Fielder to be a shortstop if you wanted to.

Man I played HH a lot. Some of those characteristics like training a player for a new position, are at risk of being silly things to add.

I've played manager mode on MLB and I would love the ability to mess with the camera more. I never liked the options that are given.
