Well this is great news that the team is working on a update. With all the talk of starting franchise day 1 it just seems like we need to wait for this update..whats the thoughts on this from the day 1 guys?Becuase the amount of work for one of us ourselves to do it (and lose the quality) to add in all of these missing players and FA's seems so overwhelming. Even with the roster sent over and easier importing/ exporting. Im gonna say the team must all have there early release copies at this point? By the way proper thread or not really cool to see some of these prospects that were made..wow with cards and audio of guys youd never would have expected to see being they were in minors still. Just really cool to see.

Re: MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
"Devs say perfect perfect hitting is available using directional but the timing window will be very small and the pitch would practically have to be right down the middle."
Just want to clarify but this is incorrect.
On a live stream it's hard to always give perfect answers on the spot, especially on details like this.
The PCI is simulated in Directional Hitting, meaning you do not need the pitch to be down the middle. Your influence helps this placement.
For beginners staring out with hitting I'd suggest not influencing - if you push the wrong way half the time it'll cancel out the times you push the right way. The more important goal starting out is to focus on taking bad pitches and getting the right timing. When you have that down, then focus on pitch quadrant and influence. I.e. the learning progression being: a) not swinging on a ball, b) using good timing when you do swing, c) reacting to pitch location (with timing + influence).
Note that step a) and b) are identical for all hitting interfaces. I think of it as the difference between Rookie and All-star. c) is of course essential to go from All-Star to Legend but this is just a simple explanation for illustration.Comment

Re: MLB the Show 20 Q & A Thread
For most attributes, the MLB average is 62. That's 90% of attributes. For Power, it's about 55. For Speed, it's 50. Specialized attributes like Stealing and Drag Bunting are going to be lower (most players don't even try to).
Things like Rank, Potential, Durability, Stamina don't apply and are on their own scale.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
I apologize if this has been answered, but lets say I want to change the Nationals back into the Expos. When choosing a logo, is there an option to choose the Expos logo or do you have to use the logo creator to make something generic? If editing the uniforms, can you just choose one of the alternates as the main uniform, or do you have to go into the uniform creator and make something generic?Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
Don't know if this helps at all but I can confirm this is an approval issue and is temporary. Once approved they go into the next roster update. We don't have control over the timing beyond putting him in as soon as we're allowed.Comment

Are there non-roster invitees for spring training or just 40-man?

MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
Haven’t played too many games yet but is the starter pitcher stamina different now? It doesn’t seem to be recharging up normally after 4-5 days of rest.
EDIT: So what I’ve noticed is the stamina is halved during the 1st inning. Then to start the 2nd inning it’s back to almost fullLast edited by Bartolo Colon; 03-13-2020, 01:45 PM.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 20 Q&A Thread
Has anyone turned HDR on in the settings? It does not seem like it is working properly. When I turn it on, the game does not look sharp, the colors are muddy and the dark areas do not seem right, but the TV registers that the HDR setting is on.
When HDR is off, the colors are vibrant, the dark areas are black and the picture is much sharper. I am playing on the Pro - C9 OLED.
Thoughts, experiences so far?Comment
