Played my first rain game, and it was obvious both myself and the CPU took a hit to pitcher consistency. Pretty cool.

Just saw my first errant pickoff throw ever. I've never seen that before. CPU tried to pick off my runner at first, and he threw it wide and I was able to run to second. Pretty cool to see that

Lol just noticed this last night when playing a spring training game. So weird to hear Matty say Goldie in-game

Something I’ve never seen before was the pitcher running to 1st to cover the bag and stumbled on a bad throw from the 1st baseman. I was safe when usually the pitcher beats me to the base easily.

PRESENTATION...Pre-Pitch Cameras set to ALWAYS and Camera Frequency set to ALWAYS.

Man, they scored a knockout. Don’t fast forward thru these scenes as it’s a real treat.

I have to set pre-pitch to Hitting only because I can't see where to aim when pitching with camera on ALWAYS but yes amazing presentation elements this year. They really did a great job.

Double play ball and ss underhand tosses to 2b but tosses too high. 2b jumps in air and catches barehand, comes down on base and tosses bullet to 1st for double play. First time seeing this animation. Awesome!

I’m not sure how to embed the video but just looked my YouTube channel and ps4. Loved this play!! But what is cool to me and maybe this isn’t new, Greg Maddox hits into a DP and doesn’t even attempt to run to first lol.

Re: MLB The Show 20 - The Little Things

Hadn't played the Show since 17 but glad I picked this up to help keep me occupied during this stay-at-home period.
                          1. Didn't follow baseball much last season, so I played Reds against the Braves, was surprised to see Felix Hernandez on the Braves, and coming out of the pen. He threw a wild pitch with a runner on third and showed frustration before running to cover home. Looked like a scene from a real game.
                          2. In that same game, Sonny Gray recorded 7 straight strikeouts. After the streak ended, there was a rain delay (don't recall that from 17) after the fourth inning. There was an option to return with Gray or go to the pen. I saw Gray's energy was way low but the Reds pen was thin with several relievers low on energy so I thought I'd squeeze another inning or two out of Gray, plus I wanted him to get 5 in for the win. He retired the first batter in the fifth but then gave up the tying homer to Acuna. The rain delays -- I've had two in 10 games -- are a nice touch because it forces you to make another decision.
                          3. The graphics, lighting and animations are top-notch.
                          4. Love the stadium updates they make, like taking out that weird fountain with the Marlin on top in Miami. Also noticed a water tower back at Target Field. Used to have Harmon Killebrew's No. 3 on it, but this one appears rusted out.
                          5. Like how all the players who wear high socks have their team logos on the socks. Don't recall that in 17.
                          6. Love the selection of throwbacks and alternates. Seems to be a lot more than in 17 and they made some good choices with many from the 1970s, when I started watching baseball as a kid.

The Show 20 and NCAA Football 14 are the cream of the crop in video games.
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

"What? You can't challenge a scoring play?''

Unfortunately..I think it is a glitch. If you look at Maddox at end he doesn't return to dugout. The foul ball animation begins to run.

Yes I don't think they started until 18. I would like the option to have the stance sock logo without the team logo as many players choose this option over the addition of the team logo. But definitely cool to have.

I got my first of many of the little things for this version. I am using my Braves franchise from, so I still have Donaldson. He crushed to left center-field vs the Cubs. There it was the "Bringer of Rain HR trot" that we started last year. It was fluid as well, HR swing is done well too. I lost the game, thanks to CP Kimbrel BS(2) out of 25.

Does anyone know if there is a glitch to this years game as to why the Vines at Wrigley Field are fully grown in April? In past installments this was one of my favorite "little things" as the vines would change throughout April and May. But in MLB The Show 20 when I played the opening home stand vs PIT, they were fully grown like it was summer.
