April 15th (Happy Jackie Robinson Day) - The Padres 2021 season gets off to a respectable 11-8 start good enough for second place in the west. Despite having the worst offense in the league pitching and defense has been solid and kept the us in most games. To date San Diego has only committed 3 errors for a .997 fielding percentage and leads the MLB in that category.

Kole Robertson (2-0, 48 K's, 0.30 ERA in 30.1 innings) looks like he wants to win a second consecutive Cy Young. Dylan Netzel (.309 BA, 1 HR, 8 RBI) is picking up where he left off last season and has taken to his role as San Diego's new lead-off hitter. Cole Dyer (.326 BA, 6 RBI in 43 plate appearances) is currently splitting time in RF and making his case to be an everyday player through solid fielding and clutch hitting.

No it's different. Only thing that stays the same is interleague teams don't rotate.

Another of my early-season favorites...rookie Stewart Threets, Jr. His attributes don't jump out and say superstar but dude has straight raked to begin the season while providing some solid D at the hot corner.

Hahaha. During Rockwell's first start he took his hat off and first thing I thought was not on my team and I just gave him a bald head. There was no way I was going to be looking at the hair every 5th day.

Also maybe they just like the smell of the rosin bag. Gets them geared up to pitch.

I did my fantasy draft with the new roster and I got the 3rd pick in the draft .. I picked the Miami PlayBoys from my 30 team rebranding and have the Dh set to on .. here is my team ... Let's Go .....

Man I am torn with who to play.

1. Brewers. Nice uni's, cool minor teams, park is ok but not a lot of extra stuff

2. Padres. Great Uni's 14 different choices. Great Park, Mascot actually does stuff. Special events and sounds during the game and such. Cool Minor teams and parks.

3. O's Great Uni's, great park, ok Minors, Great Mascot. No real park sounds or events

4. Indians. Alright Uni's, Cool Minors, Great Park, No real events but parks sounds are pretty tight

I can 100% attest to this. I traded for him after jrnlgrn gave me the same warning. A lot of promise but also a lot frustration. He can look locked in and then the next inning the wheels come off. That being said I am keeping him around, might be headed to the pen though.

In terms of just the quality of team and MiLB system, I like the Indians the best if you're rolling with yesterday's update.

I just read about the update and I’m downloading tonight. While I don’t want to start over (I’m in the postseason right now), maybe I’ll try a Padres chise without fantasy draft.
