About 30 games in with the new Stream roster in a Reds franchise, and I had to drop in here to share Reid Fortenberry's 463-foot bomb, which is the longest I've hit this year in the game.

    What are y'all's longest shots?

Didn't plan on streaming/uploading any of my post-season mode games but this one was all over the place. Wildcard game Baltimore v. Tigers, it picks up in the top of the third with Baltimore ahead 2-1. Both starters Tanner Blue and Ethan Kintzler are off to rough starts. Homers, up and down pitching performances this game had a bit of everything.

I had the CPU hit a 469 ft shot against me yesterday. Think his last name was Parker, from the Braves, the game was in Colorado so of course it had some wings.

I believe it was 472, against me, but i don't remember by who. It was in Laughing Mountain park. That place is ridiculous.

Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread

Just started a franchise to mess around with with some offseason rosters. All of my starting pitchers are angry because their expectations are rotation, but it has them listed as being in the bullpen. Even though they are in the rotation. They’re all taking a ratings hit because of this. Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: Just checked and all of my players in my starting lineup are listed as bench. I’ve never seen this happen before.

              1. Are you in the right thread? I don't know of an "offseason" roster for any fictional rosters.
              2. Did you advance a day or two to see if things shook-out?

We finally started a Seattle franchise. This team is not the typical squad I build. No team speed really to speak of and defense is ok not great. Lots of power and lots of pitching!!!

Looking forward to checking in here with some updates as they come.

I’m am officially worried that we won’t be able to put this roster for 21. If not I might not be able to get the game. Can’t have it without these rosters

I'll do the best I can to "transfer" but we'll see what is even possible on 21.

Depending on the way it's set up maybe there will be a way people can all chip in and help transfer it over if needed. I'm sure there would be enough volunteers willing to help if need be. Will just have to wait and see though.

Quite the gut punch here as I'm one game away from a WS title in Year 1.
I know I could continue by using The Show 2020, but I'm a sucker for new features and was REALLY hoping to carryover this save to 2021

Let's see what happens, hopefully you can at least transfer your CAP's over to 2021.

It's actually crazy because THIS is the only roster I really care for anymore. I did not like the real MLB rosters this year- the sport is become too predictable (High K, High BB, limited variety).

Re: MLB The Show 20: Fictional Franchise Progress Thread

With MLB21 not featuring the ability to port over franchises; I had to take a step back and ask myself if I wanted to keep going on with my Fictional Braves franchise - I'm mid-way through Year 2 now. After much reflection; I've decided I'm going to continue on - I'd at least like to finish my 3 year contract. I'll very likely still get the new game (as I adore playing DD offline); but I can easily see myself returning to MLB 20 to play this franchise. If we are, at some point, able to get a version of this fictional roster in MLB21, I will also happily start a new franchise.

But back to my fictional Braves. We remain in a 4-way dog fight in the NL East as we roar towards the midway point of the season...less than 10 games until that mark. We just finished-off a rather remarkable 3 game sweep of our rival Mets - with Marty Melankon throwing a shutout with 11 Ks and only 6 base runners allowed. Bobby Lockett provided the offense, smashing HR number 100 for his career and Mason Franklin hit a 3 run-bomb to lead us to a 4-0 win to sweep the series (with the Phillies continuing to hold onto first by percentage points). We now face the lowly-ish Padres for a 4-game set.

Our 2021 draft was interesting. We managed to nail 3 solid B-potential picks, including first rounder Sean White. White is an interesting player. An outstanding hitter at 1B (and yeah, drafting 1B early is..well...unconventional), White will need some work on defense but he's already 60+ for power/contact vs RHP and 70+ on both vs LHP. The real downside, he's quite an injury risk. He'll need some luck to stay healthy, but he has the skillset to be the heir apparent to Mason Franklin. There was a second 1B available in the first round, less injury prone, better defender - but his hit tool (i.e. contact) needed a lot of work.

We had no picks until the 3rd (our price for signing Chip Wolf) so the rest of the draft was slim pickings. But we did manage to grab a couple of decent pitchers with upside; so we'll take that. Our system is still bereft of young catching talent, so we're going to have some issues down the road.

As for the trade deadline phase...I've got to be honest, I'm not entirely sure that we'll need to be all that active. We filled a big hole by trading for SS Byron Joseph in May, and his acquisition has really given us some flexibility off-the-bench. We're still without LF Jorge Aguilera, but young speedster Albert Bautista is doing a solid job (with veteran slugger Earl Phelps also providing some production). We might take a gander at a number 5 starter as youngster Lucas Morse has struggled; but I'm also of the mindset that I want to give him 'reps' out there. We spent a ton of time (and money) really gearing up for a deep playoff run in the off-season and barring injury, the prudent play might be letting those guys carry us home (barring a key injury).
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

Actually the news that there are no more year to year saves and that I will be sticking with '20 has had this weird inspiring effect. I have played 4 games today.
