it's not difficult to cut those HRS with slider adjustments.
I personally think people don't know how to adjust sliders correctly because they don't understand their use or how cause and effect works in relation to each slider and/or they use too small a sample size and just tweak after a very small number of games.

Josh usually has some insights into cause and effect although i don't agree with all his theories but at least he's willing to test.

Game 2: im currently in the top of the 8th score is 20-10 I have hit 6 homers and the cpu has hit 8. Plus no matter how i pitch to their hitters if its not a home run its a solid base hit. Its gotten a bit out of hand. never experienced anything like this in all my years playing the show.
I hope this was just a coincidence because I haven’t had the home run issue either. So I hope this patch didn’t mess things up. I’ll be able to play a few games after work today

        Finished the month of April

Thru 28 games I've given up 40 homeruns while hitting 27. That's an average of 2.392 homeruns per game combined.

Again this is carryover save on Legend default with Zone hitting and Meter pitching.

Yep, really is an easy fix.
Just drop the timing slider a click of 2.
Increase CPU consistency slider a click of 2.

          Problem solved..

And just to give perspective.. this would equal the number 24th ranked home run team last year playing the number 25th ranked hr team last year.

Has anyone noticed CAP guys being particularly vulnerable to hitting more HRs than expected.

I’m in my second game with the Rays and Tsutsugo has 5 ABs 4 HRs and a double. He has nice hitting attributes in the ridin roster but power R is 83 and power L is 70. So nothing tremendous. Have not hit any homers yet with other guys.

Not at this level though. In my online league there’s guys with 12 games played and some players have 8-10 HRs already. This game has way too many HRs and its Starting to turn off a lot of us. This is supposed to be a simulation game. Btw we play on HOF and it feels like a HR derby at times.

I can't speak for anything online as I'm a strictly offline player but guys, use your sliders to adjust to your liking. It's that simple.
SDS have given their rationale behind the power output and they are monitoring gameplay but they may not touch it, so again, use your sliders to adjust to your liking.

Yep. I dropped just the power slider down all the way to the left to see what would happen and the cpu couldn’t do any long balls. I’m not sure how each gamer plays the game, but this slider works. They should at least have the patience to try this. It is the answer.

Moving up to legend plus and dropping the human power/timing by 1 click, and then upping the CPU consistency 1 seems to have cured the problem for me. Hopefully I can keep it like this, but i'm always concerned about future changes/slideritis.

I don't think sliders has anything to do with it. One of my biggest concerns is the number of foul balls and swing and misses on good pitches down the middle. Just did the Texas Shootout with Astros-Rangers at the new Rangers ballpark and it literally was a Texas Shootout. Rangers won 19-10 with several home runs and only three groundouts. Foul balls everywhere. Previously I played Pittsburgh-Cinncinnati and it was 7-1 Pirates with only two home run hits.

I don’t care that you think it’s that simple. The game clearly has a HR issue. I personally don’t like touching sliders because some times I feel it throws the game off.

This is what I’m going to try. I will raise the difficulty to Legend and see what happens
