Unfortunately it has introduced a new bug for clean screen.

That damn blue circle is now showing up underneath the players in auto fielding post patch.

That is completely not needed. We are not fielding!!!!!

Incredibly frustrating. Just wow.

Gawd I saw this when I started a play now this morning. How does this get by quality control?

I am simply frustrated. I realize for most this is non issue stuff.

But for us long time clean screen players....why when everything always worked as far as toggling off visual aides....in every iteration of the show (except MLB 14 when that blue circle under the fielder even in auto field was a design decision that was thankfully removed the following year) worked as it should.

We have an amazing game this year that just went FUBAR with this.

I mean the white dot was annoying. But the blue fielder circle is simply disgusting to see. Ruins clean screen even worse than the white dot. It looks arcade. Not natural.

I am just really aggravated. I love the game but can’t play it the way I have for 15 years?

Wow. Please SDS. Lets clean this up asap. I realize whats going on in the world etc. But typically when you guys patch things they are solid fixes and rarely if ever introduce new bugs.

I play this game to relax and get away from it all. It now has hardly been that because we can’t play it the way we have since we started the series.

This is the only baseball we have right now. And it has not been a smooth release so far.

Here is hoping they can fix everything right.

Also a pop up stat came up for Bryce Harper in my carryover Yankees save.


Lifetime .943 hitter in 9 seasons? Come on.

I had to vent. And it is not like me to pout. But the last 4 weeks in my own work life has been the most challenging since 2008. I am in wealth management. So you can imagine.

My rant was 4 weeks of utter **** coming to a boiling point.

But this game has never let me down. I just want to be able to enjoy it like I have for 15 years.

I am sure the guys at SDS will get it right.

My apologies for coming off obtuse. I think we are all on the edge these days.

Okay, well that line about clean-screeners being happy certainly didn't age well. Sorry guys - even though I'm familiar with that approach because it's how I watch CPU games, I don't actually play with everything turned off much. So I didn't know about the fielding thing until it was pointed out in the thread.

Hope they can get it fixed for you. I do feel like that swing/pitch option change/bugfix/whatever was made with that community in mind, regardless of the unintended consequences - I can't think of any other reason why they'd address it in the notes.

It likely doesn't. I'm betting they know about a good deal of the bugs before we do...but someone prioritizes and makes decisions about what gets fixed based on resource availability and schedules.

Not saying they catch everything, but the testers and QC people aren't the ones who get to decide what gets fixed.

Probably goes without saying since it wasn't in the notes, but the April-May prospect shuffle (even with the trade slider zeroed) still happens.

Playing a DD extended play game on Legend (meter pitching) and I do feel like there's more rewarding pitch accuracy when I hit perfect. There's also still plenty of "in the area" inaccuracy when I don't, so this isn't binary levels of hit spot/miss spot badly like PYS which is what I was concerned about. But considering I'm using Maddux, the good inputs feel appropriately rewarding. In the competitive environment which is what this change is going to affect, that's pretty important.

Remains to be seen how the majority of the online community reacts to it though, since the majority use analog there's no way for me to predict that.

The trades isn't a bug, but roster issue. A new roster will fix that.

Have you played Road to The Show this year? It’s virtually unplayable with all the obnoxious pop-ups all over the screen constantly.
