Can anyone tell me using the new Show theme where the pitch speed of a pitch just thrown would be?

I play with switch pitch info off.

I thought this was on there before.

Darn....still doesn't give you a HR or K counter during a franchise game like it does for Doubles or SBs.

Probably goes without saying since it wasn't in the notes, but the April-May prospect shuffle (even with the trade slider zeroed) still happens.

Playing a DD extended play game on Legend (meter pitching) and I do feel like there's more rewarding pitch accuracy when I hit perfect. There's also still plenty of "in the area" inaccuracy when I don't, so this isn't binary levels of hit spot/miss spot badly like PYS which is what I was concerned about. But considering I'm using Maddux, the good inputs feel appropriately rewarding. In the competitive environment which is what this change is going to affect, that's pretty important.

Remains to be seen how the majority of the online community reacts to it though, since the majority use analog there's no way for me to predict that.

Edit: It was brought to my attention that the patch notes say the pitching change was only for head-to-head multiplayer (and not all of DD), so it's entirely possible all that stuff about Maddux above in a game vs. the CPU is confirmation bias. He's very accurate on perfect meter inputs anyway, so he's probably a bad example to use when comparing pre-patch with post-patch.

What counter?

Are you talking about when you strikeout a batter or hit a homerun it tells you how many strikeouts the pitcher has for the game or how many homeruns a hitter has on the year?

If so, that is there, as I've seen both in the game I'm currently playing. (Show Theme)

Only way to see the pitch speed after a pitch thrown now is having to turn on in swing info.

No more clean screen if u want to know the speed of each pitch. SMH

Patch is out. Tiny in total size, only around 67 MB. Most of it is coding tweaks going by those notes, so not really surprising.

Pitch callout is now absent in CPU vs CPU games, in addition to what was posted in the notes. This is how the game behaved in '19 and every previous year, leading me to believe that its showing up all the time regardless of the option setting was a bug.

I think the clean screen guys are going to be pretty happy with this.

Unfortunately it has introduced a new bug for clean screen.

That damn blue circle is now showing up underneath the players in auto fielding post patch.

That is completely not needed. We are not fielding!!!!!

Incredibly frustrating. Just wow.

Yes exactly! What do you mean Show Theme? I have yet to see it in this year's game. Minor, but noticeable for me.

I'm using the Show Theme (2 themes in game MLB Network/Show Theme) and I've seen the counter pop up just above the scorebug in the Show theme. It was there before and still there after the patch.

Oh i see what you mean now thanks for explaining. However mine has not shown up on either Show Theme or MLB Network.
