Yeah I looked through list of recommended tv, TCL is one of the “rising stars” and I found a cheap 6 series... now I’m considering it... slightly over my budget.. I’ll figure something out eventually lol. Thanks guys for your help. Hope I’ll find something decent at least for the price and gaming.

The reason they're a "rising star" is because they've only been selling TVs through Best Buy for 4 years. So they went from zero to whatever they've been doing now. They're more quantity than quality.

Yeah I’ve been watching lots of videos on it. They have even warned and pointed out some flaws but not major it seems. And supposedly one of the better low budget gaming tv’s out there [emoji2369]. It should be delivered here tomorrow.

Ok, so I got TCL 55” 6 series 4K hdr, Dolby vision, 2018 version.. only $599 cdn. Looks amazing and very smooth. Don’t see any choppiness you guys are seeing. So crisp! Really pops. It’s a thing of beauty! Even the brewers home uniforms doesn’t look like crap and toooo creamy like on my old tv.. it’s actually manageable now. Love the frame on it, it’s aluminum, legs as well. I’m admiring the game and tv right now lol.

Vizio P-Series Quantum X (PX75-G1), HDR enabled looks really good. I haven't toggled the HDR on/off to be able to discern the differences, but I haven't noticed a difference in performance and the game looks fantastic to my eye. But HDR in general can be really finicky, so this is definitely one of those "YMMV" type of things.

i just bought a 65 inch TCL... 4k and to be honest, I have never been a fan of HRD on most of these games. To me, its make everything to dark! I've tried a few innings just to see if the game looked any better, and I didnt notice anything other than it was darker.

I moved the PS4 to a different tv for one night, and when I started playing, the game looked stunning, major difference.

I started playing and was behind every single fastball. And also the game was much more choppy.

I changed to a different port, hdmi 2, and the game looked more cartoony, but played much much better.

I'm an idiot with all this tv stuff I wish I knew more about it.

Playing on a Q70R & KS8500 , HDR looks good to me. Turn HDR off on the Q70 one day & didn't like the way it look

There’s always a hdmi port that is labeled “best” either in your manual or on the tv itself above the port, furthermore in your manual it tells you the refresh rate and other specs of each port........the game has played much smoother for me lately for whatever reason even when I switch back to 4K
