    Manager Jackets?

I know it's not the biggest deal and maybe it's always been this way and I forgot. Managers are wearing a jacket no matter the weather. The temp was 93 degrees last game I played and the managers were wearing jackets. Again not that big of a deal but it's a bit distracting in an otherwise realistic looking game. Guess they were trying to make weight? LOL

I think it’s annoying that they wear jackets period. Most managers wear sweat shirts when it’s cold, and those warmup style shirts the rest of the time. I wish they’d update them to reflect that.

My biggest takeaway from your post is that you actually saw a game go above 77 degrees. That's as hot as it gets in Atlanta according to my franchise.

While I don’t like the jackets, I appreciate that they change depending on which uniform I pick

I have never seen the Cardinals manager wear a jacket in the game.

My manager finally took off his jacket but it was only during a cutscene to discuss the rain delay with the umps. It was on befere and then back on after.

In about 40 games, I have seen managers come out to the mound without a jacket. Don't recall which teams, but I'm sure it was during hot weather.
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

                  Manager Jackets?

For what it’s worth, I have noticed that “real” managers in the game will wear their jackets in temperatures under 75 degrees. Anything over 75, they have their uniform top on. But, I have found that in my Braves franchise, that Atlanta nights don’t get above 75 degrees before June 15 [emoji23]. Which anybody that has been in the South knows, happens well before June.

                    Re: Manager Jackets?

I can't figure out the pattern, but in franchise my manager and coaches sometimes wear a jacket, sometimes not.

Just played a three-game series in Houston in April, so roof open, and my manager had his jacket on game one, but just jersey games two and three. However, I think Houston's not-Dusty Baker had his on all three games.

Is is a fake manager you're noticing always wears a jacket, or real ones too?

(Don't judge, I pay attention to this because I try to not assign the coaches' numbers to my players so I'm not seeing two #30s in the postgame scrum or on the basepaths with the base coach. I guess you can judge, but not because I just watch the managers, rather because I'm neurotic.)

I've noticed it on both real and fake managers. The few times without out a jacket were real managers I believe. I'm in the middle of July currently and everyone has a jacket on. Maybe the addition of rebranded teams somehow messed up the code for jacket wearing.

I never thought about the coaches and players wearing the same number before.

Only the fake managers or coach in bench (thus not included first and third base coaches) wear jackets even in summer.

Real ones take the jacket off above 70 degrees I think

I would like to edit managers manners or obsessions, for instance Francona never wear the game uniform

Another thing I have noticed is many fake base coaches wear high numbers like 99,98, etc

Even pitchers who reach base during a night game..Understandable during the spring and fall when you want to keep the pitcher warmed up..But not in the middle of July

I have seen the Blue Jays' manager w/o a jacket inside Rogers Center when the roof is closed (in late April).

Also a bit off topic but in that same game I noticed that the extra nets to protect fans along the foul lines (they extend beyon thed dugouts) were not present in Rogers.

Is that a US only thing?

Additionally, during the same game, I noticed that the extended nets to protect fans along the foul lines, which go beyond the dugouts, were not present in Rogers Center. Is this absence exclusive to the United States?
