I've found the game to be very frustrating since this latest patch. I have a lot of warning track flyouts while the CPU gets very cheap hits. I also am finding my pitchers missing middle/middle a ton. I would honestly prefer to see the CPU squaring up balls to get hits rather than weak ground balls directly over third base while my defense is shifted (every time). Manual baserunning is awful and the CPU guns out runners at a ridiculous rate. I still think this is the best baseball game ever made by far, but still is a little frustrating at times.

Unfortunately, patch 1.11 has not come close to fixing the auto cancel/runners freezing randomly on AB as it suggested. The darn thing even cancels on a foul ball, which I have no idea how you manually do that when the ball is not in play and no one is on base.

And yes...way too many base hits to opposite field on shifted defense. The reason shifted defense works IRL because the hitter with extreme pull tendency actually pulls the ball. In the game (and this is a legacy issue), no matter how much you pitch the hitter inside, he still pushes the ball to the opposite field. And if you throw outside, he lines it to opposite field. I hope this AI gets corrected with the new engine because it is a problem that is unrealistic.

I have played over 200 hours and counting of this years game and over 160 games now inside of franchise mode.

Its not. Not in this persons opinion. So take it for what its worth. Game is as good if not better than it was the day it was released.

IMO there is so much placebo anytime a patch drops....same crap every single solitary year. They have barely tuned offline gameplay this cycle thus far if much at all.

In my first 4 games in franchise after this patch, I could not do anything. One run, shut out, four runs, one run. I was certain something under the hood had changed and I'd need to bump the hard hit slider back to default, but decided to play another game first.

25 hits and 13 runs later I'm pretty sure its fine

To add to the frustration, power went out in the sixth inning. I was up 9-3 and Clevinger had 10 ks. I was really trying to play a whole season with two teams but I'm losing momentum by the day. And it's only June 2nd. I still agree this is the best baseball game so far.

I agree it's playing differently since last 1.11 patch. The difference I'm seeing is that, on Legend, the CPU PCI has gotten so large that they make solid contact on easily 65% of all pitches regardless of location.

I've noticed this as well. I've gone from giving up around an average of seven hits a game from games 1-15 in this season of my franchise to giving up an average of 13 per game in the ten games I've played post-patch.

Also, the Mets 68 overall AA backup catcher with 22 power against lefties pulled a low and outside 2SFB 450+ft for a walk-off grand slam against me three games ago...

I've noticed this as well. I've gone from giving up around an average of seven hits a game from games 1-15 in this season of my franchise to giving up an average of 13 per game in the ten games I've played post-patch.

The developers said the pci was made bigger in this patch (albeit for DD only). I'm definitely noticing a larger PCI for the Cpu since the patch and to me it's not even debatable.

I clearly see a larger PCI for the CPU post-patch on Play Now / Exhibition games. I cannot strike anyone out with the slider set I've been using for the last few month, and I am struggling bit-time to get anyone out. Pitches outside the zone are getting hammered at an unrealistic rate. It's not a placebo effect - it's clearly different.

I mean this with no disrespect but if they can change hitting for DD only as they claim , why is it then that they have to nerf bunting to the point that it’s almost unusable in franchise?? Why couldn’t they tune that separately?? I have more examples of the BS that they talk out of both sides of their mouth but I won’t go into it. I installed 17 the other night to see if I was just more tolerant of bad gameplay those days then I am now and I was truly shocked at just how much better the gameplay was then compared to now. Perfect ? No but it felt like real baseball . The last 3 years not so much.
